Clear open skies for great celestial viewing of eclipse coming up in August. Because we are away from the city, we have no lights that detract from seeing the stars, the moon and all other celestial bodies ( or UFO'S ?

100% recommend staying here! It was a great little area to camp at. We originally booked a campsite, but when we arrived the hosts were kind enough to let us stay in their teepee since the other campers cancelled at last minute. They were great with communication and their home was easy to find. The bathroom was very clean and the sites were well kept. The neighbors dogs were barking during the night but it didn't bother us.

We had extenuating arrival circumstances; Bob & Kori were super gracious & understanding. Their communication was excellent. The campsite is right off the road so lots of traffic noise; the trade-off is that the location is extremely convenient to find, and for coming/going to/from Crater Lake. This is roughing-it camping, so you need your own tent or plans to sleep in your vehicle. It rained the night of our arrival; the forest smells the next morning were fresh & wonderful. We hope to come back with more time for a guided horse ride. Toast to the hosts :-)

An amazing place and amazing couple! They were so kind and hospitable, and they have a solar powered water filtration system that keeps the drinking water the most pure I've ever had! It's a great place to camp and visit crater lake to get away from all the hustle-bustle of the national park. If you can afford it splurge for the teepee! It's super cool and fun!

Only 30 min drive to Crater Lake. Have pens made up for horses if you own them. The fire pits were a great end to a night. Fast communication and very friendly hosts! No shower on site, yet...(was told it was in the works but for now a 15 min drive to a rest stop with showers)

We are a laid back but hard working ranch couple who LOVE horses. We communicate well, and love meeting new friends. We would love for you to sign our guest book, and welcome questions so that you will be comfortable in our campgrounds. Please only go over to our horses when we are with you. They are very special to us and we are protective of them. You are welcome to book a ride with us if you want, and that is $65 for each person for 1 1/2 hour ride. We are very earth-user friendly and expect our guests to respect the land and help us keep it clean and pristine.
