Astrid's apartment is in the perfect location, very close to several metro and bus lines that can take you all over Paris very quickly. It's within walking distance to some great attractions, like the Opera, Grands Boulevards, and famous Paris department stores. The neighborhood is safe and relatively quiet, and I felt perfectly comfortable walking in the area at all times of day. The building itself is very secure, with two doors with codes to enter at the front.
I was traveling alone, and I found that the apartment was perfect for one person. There is just enough space for everything you need, but it might be a little too crowded for more than one person as there isn't a large sitting area. Astrid left space in the refrigerator and kitchen cabinets for me, which was great so that I could cook my own food instead of always eating at restaurants. However, there is only a stove with two burners and a microwave, no oven. This was fine with me, though. It was great to buy fresh food at some of the markets of Paris and cook it in my own space!
Astrid was a wonderful host, too. She was always easy to contact through AirBnb and What'sApp, even while she was traveling herself. She left me a map and a guidebook to Paris in the apartment, which was thoughtful and very convenient! I even got a discount on a couple museums by bringing the guidebook with me. There were also notes about using things in the apartment, like the stove, coffee maker, and shower.
My only warning is that this apartment would not be good for someone who is not able to easily climb stairs. It is on the 6th floor (in American terms; the French call it the 5th), and the stairway is quite narrow. Again, this was fine for me, but it might not be for someone else.
Overall, this was a great place to stay. It was affordable, convenient, and Astrid is a perfect host! I recommend it for anyone traveling to Paris!
