New to AirBnB, but welcoming guests for some years - Songthrush is a spacious, family-owned contemporary home on the private Lower Mill Estate nature reserve in the Cotswolds Water Park. A fabulous property set in a quiet cul-de-sac location and overlooking a small reeded stream, you have miles of scenic walks from the front door and an abundance of local sporting, sightseeing and relaxing activities.
Families are particularly welcome, with plenty of activities for all ages. Children are well catered for with games & books, well behaved dogs are welcome.
The Estate is a 550 acre nature reserve, home to a myriad of wildlife. There is a fabulous (inclusive) Art Spa with indoor/outdoor pools, gym and treatment rooms, as well as playground areas, trampolines, a football area, table-tennis and tennis courts. There is also the Ballihoo Restaurant, complete with a small shop, about 150m walk away from the house.
Lower Mill Estate comprises exclusive, private villages committed to ecological best practice. There are numerous lakeside walks you can take without leaving the Estate. For some years now the Estate has supported the re-introduction of beavers into the protection of the nature reserve. There are spots around Flagham Fen where you can hope to catch a glimpse of these shy creatures at dusk or dawn.
