Log burner, garden to front street parking available. Close to mountain biking , Southern Upland Way, fishing in River Tweed, historic Abbotsford House, Borders Abbeys and much more. Secure outhouse for bikes and outside tap.

The cottage is well insulsted, has central heating & a log burner. It's easy to heat up in cold weather. The front garden is sunny for most of the day and an ideal space for relaxing. The secure shed has a padlock to secure bikes or equipment. Wifi is available

The cottage has one bedroom on the upper floor, fitted with a king sized bed with a bathroom with a shower & bath. Towels & bedding supplied. Dish towels & cleaning materials supplied.

The ground floor is open plan kitchen/diner, lounge with a bed settee with the ability to sleep an additional two persons (extra persons must be arranged before arrival).

Kitchenette appliances include: double oven, hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer.

Gas central heating throughout with a log burning fire in the living area with a reasonable amount of logs provided.

The house is excellently appointed for a couple. The location is great if you have a car, as it is 2 miles from the shops of Galashiels and is at a junction of roads leading to all the sights of the Scottish Borders and to Edinburgh. Ishbel adds personal touches that make you feel welcome, while access and departure are hassle free.

A cosy, well equipped and very comfortable cottage. We loved the log burner! Lots of nice extra touches such as milk in the fridge, toiletries in the bathroom. Ishbel has thought of everything! We enjoyed mountain biking and walking in the local area. There is also a nice hotel only a minutes walk away with friendly staff. We loved the cottage and surrounding area so much that we've booked again!

This is a beautiful little cottage in a picturesque location. A great little touch of tea and coffee being already there meant we could goto the cottage and re-charge before heading to the near by supermarket.

Great cottage in a quiet village. I didn't meet Ishbel,but everything I needed was left conveniently for me. Highly recommended.

Le gîte est très agréable et idéalement situé pour la découverte des Borders. Notre hôtesse était disponible pour faciliter l'accès au Wifi. Le logement est confortable et clair. Le chauffage, si nécessaire, est très performant. La documentation fournie sur la région, les cartes - marche, vélo - suggèrent des activités nombreuses et variées. Merci Ishbel. Nous avons apprécié les produits de 1ère nécessité déposés à notre intention. NB les voisins aussi sont chaleureux, aimables et serviables.

Ishbel was a great host. Cottage was great and had everything we needed. Went for a lovely walk on one of the trails and had a great time, will visit again if ever in the same area.

I am married and we have lived in the Scottish Borders for 30 years.
We enjoy the outdoor options in the Scottish Borders (walks both long & short) but also enjoy the easy access to Edinburgh.
Holidays are usually to Europe or USA but we also really enjoy different parts of Scotland - especially the west coast but still enjoy coming home to the 'rolling hills of the Borders'.
