Here at Camp Crate, we know that sometimes travelling restraints and restrictions present obstacles that threaten to push us inside a box. While this may masquerade as a hotel room or other fixated structure, we understand that the innate allure of nature beckons us beyond plastered walls and into nature. Our mission is to allow our guests to break free from such boxes and embrace the ease and portability that our crates offer. With fellow outdoor enthusiasts in mind, we decided that camping is a basic right that everyone should be able to access as they deem necessary. Furthermore, you should be able to customize your camping experience in a manner that is most conducive and rewarding to you.
After booking with us, we will send your gear to the Moab Post Office a week before your trip (keep scrolling for complete gear list). The gear can either be picked up there or it can be delivered to an entirely different address. The rest of the trip is entirely up to you! Moab and the surrounding area truly boasts an incredible number of campsites. (we have noted several in the “Guest Access” portion of our listing). This is where individual preference and customization really takes root. Within Moab you can choose to reserve campsites at locations that offer amenities from swimming, to electricity. You also have the choice to take the completely opposite route and try for a first-come, first-serve campsite that doesn’t offer any form of amenities; except for the incredible views and a chance for some solitude. While often free, these campsites bypass the safety of having a reservation, thus we advise you to proceed with caution. If you take this route, make sure to have numerous backup plans as they often fill to capacity.
We probably don’t need to tell you how spectacular Moab is, but we are going to anyways. As the gateway to two of our nation's premier national parks, “Arches and Canyonlands,” Moab and its surrounding areas boast some of the most incredible scenery imaginable. Equally as impressive is Dead Horse State Park, which is only a short drive away and showcases the Colorado River snaking its course some 2,000 feet below. In addition to the scenery, Moab is also complemented with world famous mountain biking, hiking, four wheeling, and even stellar river expeditions that are suited for all skill levels.
Once the unfortunate day has come in which you must depart from Moab, just drop your gear back off at the Moab Post Office. The Pre-Paid shipping label will ensure that the gear returns safely to us. (For step-by-step instructions please visit the “Overview” section of this listing).

Please note that we are not affiliated with any of the campgrounds or campsites around the Moab area, thus we have absolutely no role in your camping reservation.
We do not plan your trip, nor will we be obtaining any of the permits for you.
We do not include a fixed location for you to sleep, we instead allow you to individualize this to suite your own camping desires.
We are simply offering gear rental, you must pay the separate camping fee wherever you choose to set up the contents of your crate.
If you choose to camp on Bureau of Land Management (BLM) or first-come, first-serve campsites, you must be aware that these often fill up very quickly. We recommend that you secure these campsites early in the day and that you always have multiple contingency plans in case things are not going your way. It pays to do your research before leaving home: not only so that the trip is unique to you, but also so you don’t have to sweat the little things.
