The place was quiet, small, and close walk to many main tourist areas in Dublin! Great price for location and compared to hotel prices in the area. Would definitely recommend.

The location and price were excellent! The apartment is huge and walking distance to so many places. However, we didn't have hot water during our stay and the host didn't respond quickly so the issue was never resolved.

The apartment was just what we needed, and just where we needed it. It was very roomy, with tall ceilings and big windows with lots of light. We were consciously avoiding the noise of Temple Bar, and the flat is in a normally pretty quiet area (though the night of the big hurling match, we, like most of Dublin, were treated to delightful and melodious Irish team songs most of the night!). The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was reasonably stocked, and communication with Patrick and Luiany was seamless. They were very accommodating when I changed our check-in time at the last minute, and were quick to answer questions from start to finish. Very professional, and a wonderful stay. Thanks, Patrick!

FANTASTIC central location in Dublin, every resource a visitor needs is one block away! The apartment is clean, comfortable, and everything is in good working order. All is as described. The amazing charm & history of the building makes the 2-flight walk-up well worth it!

Patrick's flat is a wonderful place to stay when visiting Dublin and I'd stay there again without hesitation. It does make the visitor wonder about the history of the building and the mirror in the stairway is a marvel. We appreciated how close it was to O'Connell Street and the Wild Rover Tour's pick up location. It's a quick walk past the Spire to the more touristy south side of the Liffey. I thought it was extremely quiet even though the bedrooms do overlook a street next to a pub, my sister did hear the noise from the pub one night. Be mindful that there is no elevator/lift and at the end of the day the 4 flights up can be something of a challenge. It is on the second floor but that is the American third floor (ground floor>First Floor>Second Floor) My main concern is the bathroom door. It is on a self closing hinge that was challenging to open. I am a strong person and had to recruit muscle mass to open it. Children under the age of 10 and the elderly might not be able to open the door once inside, and maybe not from the outside. We joked that the bathroom would be an excellent babysitter since the children cannot get out and yet they would have water and toilet facilities. The beds were comfortable after my back got over jet lag. It was wonderful having a washer/dryer and dishwasher. The couches sit low to the ground but were the perfect place for napping when needed. The television had limited channels and was small but we weren't there for the telly. The only other (small) quibble was the towels were limited to one set per person (face, hand, bath); if having multiple bath towels is important to you be sure to let Patrick know, he is extremely responsive.

This is a great jumping off point to explore Dublin - on the "wrong" side of the river, but a quick walk that felt very safe to pretty much anywhere. The apt was a bit run down, and the beds were very firm. However, it was clean, the washing machine was a great amenity, and Patrick was a very responsive host. Perfect for shorter trips where you're out and about most of the time anyway!
