We love DC and are happy to do anything we can to help our guests enjoy our home and this wonderful city.

We are a family of 5, and our kids are pre-school age. The accommodation is under our home's main floor, and we do our best to keep the noise to a minimum, but you may hear little feet in the mornings and evenings. Also, the bedroom of the apartment is next to the fan for the air conditioning, which - in DC weather - is running in the summer. You can hear it when it's running, so if you're a light sleeper, that may be a problem; on the other hand, if you find white noise soothing, this may not be a problem for you.
If you have pet allergies or sensitivities to pet odors, note that the previous owners had pets, but we do not.
We both work in the legal field, which was how we met. A house and three children later, it's been a wild ride, but we wouldn't trade it for anything. Timothee has trekked the world as a lone traveler, while Patricia has done more traditional touristy traveling. Between us, we've managed to find something in the middle, and we hope that our children will be adventurous, too.
Most of our travel these days is to see family, which means we're in Toronto, Ottawa, Massachusetts, and North Carolina the most. Occasionally we make it to France to see extended family.
When we're home, we're busy raising 3 young kids, and exploring all the amazing sights Washington, DC has to offer.
As guests, we like to have our own space and freedom to discover the place we're in, but we like to have access to our hosts in case we have questions about the town. As hosts on the other hand, we like to give our guests space but are more than happy to make ourselves available should they wish for more guidance or assistance about what to do in DC.
