My wife and I took our 7-month-old son here for a relaxing break from city life. Prior reviews accurately reflect the apartment. It's very clean, modern, and it has the amenities you'd expect including oven, stove, washing machine, big fridge, and microwave. We felt very at home here.
The best part of this apartment is that you feel like you're at the beach even when you're just lazing around the living room (or in our case you can't leave because your kid is napping). You'll wake up every morning and watch the people learning to surf, or the old men doing laps up and down the beach in their speedos. The sunsets are spectacular. Leave the windows open to hear the relaxing waves.
We didn't fall in love with Suances the town, but that may be our fault. On the food front the best restaurants start serving food at 9pm (too late for us) and many are closed Tuesdays, so we resorted to whatever was open and it wasn't amazing. During the daytime the part of town up in the hills is cute with farmer's markets and cafes. We took a day tried to Santillana Del Mar (felt like a tourist trap) and Comillas (Gaudi exhibit was fun, but the beach town is no better than what you'll find in Suances). The surrounding countryside is beautiful though and we enjoyed the drive as much as the destination.
Overall it was a great experience and a good place to bring our family.
