Woolly Acres Farm is a small organic farm in Glastonbury, CT. We raise sheep and alpaca, and grow a variety of fruits and vegetables.

El lugar

Guests of the farm will stay in a private guest wing with an open living and dining room, kitchenette, and a large master bedroom with an en suite bathroom. The bedroom comfortably sleeps two and a full sized pull out couch in the living room can sleep up to two more.

The guest wing has its own private entrance, but can also be accessed through a shared, enclosed porch, which separates the guest wing from the main farm house. The porch is where you will check in, and you are welcome to have use of this space throughout your stay.

Upon arriving at the farm, guests will find their kitchen stocked with items for a complimentary continental breakfast, including coffee, tea, juice, fruit, cereal, yogurt, and muffins.

Disponible para huéspedes

Guests will have access to all outdoor areas, including the gardens, and stone patio overlooking the animal pasture. There is a large fire pit built into the patio and a grill available for cooking dinners outside. Guests are free to feed the animals (grain will be provided) but we do ask that you not enter the barns or animal enclosures unless accompanied by one of the owners.

Atención a los huéspedes

We like to give our guests space, but we are readily available as needed. We are happy to give advice or answer questions to help you make the most of your stay.

We really enjoyed the accommodations and atmosphere of Wooly Farm. A classic CT. farm with the fun aspect of animals to visit with. Chris and Arika have provided perfect place to relax and every need. We would make it our first choice for a return visit. Go and enjoy, relax.

What a gorgeous historical bedroom suite in a dreamy farm! We were very impressed with Airika and Chris' hospitality and kindness. They offered us tons of goodies (food and drinks!) and they were very extremely welcoming. We loved the patio with the firepit and having the sheep come and keep us company. We highly recommend this hidden gem and we will be sure to come back for all our future family reunions in Glastonbury!

What a lovely place. An 1800's farmhouse, but with a fully fitted out guest suite. Beautiful views over the pasture of a working farm. Hosts were terrific, and even shared a glass of wine at the large fire pit in the back yard. Amenities in the guest quarters were first class, and having a private suite apart from the family residence was a plus. Would recommend it to anyone, especially as "leaf peeping" season begins in New England soon.

Perfect! I was looking for a peaceful country getaway spot for the weekend with my city-based family and "Wooly Acres" was exactly that. We checked in late night on a Friday and I couldn't believe how picture perfect the farm house looked as we pulled down the driveway. It was all lit up and looked like something from a picture book. Turns out it was just as picturesque in the daylight. Kids loved feeding the sheep and alpacas and sitting around the patio fireplace at night roasting marshmallows. I enjoyed a cup of coffee in the early morning sitting in the herb garden with views of the animals grazing in the fields and a cozy glass of wine by the fire at night. The accommodations were pristine - it is clear that the homeowners put a lot of effort into every detail of the place. It was clean, welcoming and so beautifully decorated. Plenty of options for food in the area. I loved that the kitchen was stocked with breakfast items that both the kids and I liked. I would totally recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful country getaway - with or without kids!

We had a great time during our stay. They were wonderful hosts that invited us out to the backyard patio with a fire pit at night. I was initially concerned about the possible farm odor before I arrived. They had fresh flowers in each room and the place indoors and outdoors had clean fresh country air. They had great suggestions on places to see and eat at in the area. The food at nearby Birch Hill Tavern was excellent. There is a drugstore and grocery in the same plaza at the tavern so you didn't have to travel far if you needed something. We communicated often and they made us feel very welcome. We definitely made new friends during our time at Chris & Airika’s place.

The very nice homeowners were available for any questions but were rarely seen. One quick text message with a question and they were right there with the answers. Although the "guest house", which had everything one could possibly need, is attached to their residence, once inside it felt like a very private retreat. The highlight - enjoying a glass of wine while sitting in the herb/flower garden watching the animals graze in the pasture. Country living at its best!

We really enjoyed our stay at Woolly Acres Farm! The farmhouse and land were just beautiful, and our hosts could not have been nicer. Our guest quarters were very private and comfortable and beautifully furnished with antiques and new pieces. (Also, the shower had great water pressure and hot water.) At our request, hosts Chris and Airika took us to the barn to see the sheep, goats, and alpacas. We loved our farm experience and look forward to returning!
