This was a cattleman's bunkhouse at the turn of the century. The structure is made of adobe, wood and stone and is located on the San Jacinto/Santa Rosa National Monument. It borders with the San Bernardino National Forest and is across the highway from hiking and equestrian trails. The structure is about 200 sq. feet with a kitchenette and bathroom with full shower. Also on the property is a public art gallery ((URL HIDDEN) and artists studio along with a grand piano.
If you love nature, art, healing, hiking and history this is the place for you!. It is just off the 74 as you go down into Palm Springs. In the back of the property is a well maintained sunbathing area with a jacuzzi that overlooks Santa Rosa Mountain and has great star viewing at night.The bed is a trundle that pulls out to a king or two twin size beds. There is an espresso machine with cups and coffee supplied. Within walking distance are the Sawmill and Santa Rosa biking and hiking trails that will take you to the top of Santa Rosa Mountain and just down the road is a wonderful native american educational trail with a spectacular lookout. Also, an endless supply of clean mountain drinking spring water.The spa has aromatic healing dead sea salts and is kept at a temp of 102 degrees.

Guests have access to the back of the 1/2 acre property leading into the national forest and seating areas around the casita that have views of the mountains. Door has an entry code. Parking is next to the casita.

Available by texting (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) Guests are welcome to play the piano check out the artists studio and view the gallery of paintings and photography. They are also welcome to bring their own easels and cameras to paint and shoot the local scenery.

Only Verizon has reach here. There is full Internet access. Directions can only be gotten with (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps. Other applications will take you to the wrong place. The door is a bit low as people were 6 inches shorter back then but there is plenty of headroom on the inside. The king size bed does take up a lot of space so it should only be folded out when sleeping. A continental breakfast is included with beakfast rolls, friut and orange juce.
