Please be respectful of the house and the contents. We work hard to try and attend to every detail to make the guests stay as "home like" as possible. The home has been in my family for 40+ years so though it is not fancy, it is special to us.
I am a Richmond native, attended VCU School of Business and work in the Real Estate field. This home, the Richmond Guesthouse, was my first house and has been in my family for 35+years as it was previously owned by my Great Uncle, George Tener.
My husband and I recently moved to the Myrtle Beach area from Milwaukee, WI where we lived for three years. Most of my family lives in the Richmond area so we like to have a home to come to when visiting there. This is why the short-term rental situation is a good alternative for us.
We lived in Europe for 5 years in Brussels, Belgium and have traveled pretty extensively. We have had to good fortune to explore Italy, France, Germany, Slovenia, Austria, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Ireland, Russia, Venezuela and even South Africa. We truly love traveling so we think we understand what it means to be thoughtful and respectful hosts. When we travel, we try to stay in apartments or smaller, privately owned accommodations because we think this allows us to experience the true flavor of the place. We have found it adds to the adventure and is always more memorable than a generic hotel stay.
We have tried to anticipate the needs of our visitors but if there is anything at all you need or we can help with, please let us know. My niece, Megan is our local property manager there in Richmond. She lives very close by so will be responsive to your inquiries so do not hesitate to ask.
