Seamroige is a newly renovated gite which is on 2 levels and has a large enclosed garden to the rear with furniture and barbecue facilities. This gite will sleep nine people and is fully equipped for a wonderful self catering holiday.
The property is set in fifty acres of beautiful Normandy country landscape. Within this, there is a variety of woodlands, natural streams, fields and a small fishing lake - all with wonderful views of the surroundings. We breed highland cattle and it is common place to see a variety of lovely wildlife, most notably the array of birds in the region. Seamroige is pleasantly situated, overlooking the lake from the front windows and has a comfortable level of privacy - including a private back garden. Locally, there is a number of hiking, cycling and water sport areas which I have listed below from our site, but if you would like extra assistance do let me know.
We have a heated, shared swimming pool on our grounds, which is child and adult friendly alike. In addition to this, we have a shared tennis court with free hire of balls and rackets.
The region is a gem of tranquility, suited to the relaxed holiday state of mind. Our local villages are St-Michel-Du-Montjoie and St-Pois, where there are a small number of convenience shops, bakeries, tabacs and restaurants. Our nearest local town is Vire, which is around a 15-20 minute drive through the Normandy countryside. Vire has a number of large supermarkets, restaurants, cafes and all other amenities one would expect, whilst also being a charming and friendly town with plenty of life in the Summer.
There are a couple of different beaches within around a 30 minute drive from our property. The pick of the bunch for a visitor seeking a calm, secluded sandy beach day-out is Julioville. Its a really lovely space and is also within close proximity of Avaranche, a large seaside town that is definitely worth a visit. In addition to this, there is also the more historical D-day landing beaches, which are around a 45 minute drive.
Below I've copied and pasted from our sitepage. We would love to facilitate prospective guests for your stay in the Normandy region and hope that you choose our tranquil getaway.
