Sorry that you were not happy with your accommodations. The furnishings are all fairly new so the discomfort of the sleeper sofa is a bit surprising, although it is, after all, a sleeper sofa. Yes - with a view of the gulf of Mexico, and a condo overlooking one of the two pools at the complex - there will be noise when you are on the balcony. We do manage condos throughout the complex - so please know that there are quieter areas at the complex. Because we don't like surprises, either - we do explain all of our fees and the parking charges (which are assessed by the complex, not by us). City and State hotel occupancy taxes are a requirement of privately owned properties in Galveston - even though this is not a hotel property, we are required to collect, report and pay them - and we do explain all of this in the additional information portion of our AirBnB listings. As far as small - yes - that's true. 1 bedroom condos at this particular complex are just shy of 500 square feet. The value - however - is so much better than a hotel room where you can only bring 4 guests, have no privacy (the beds are all in one room) have no kitchen, and are charged a parking fee as well. Our pricing is in line with those hotels, but you have a kitchen so that you are able to save funds by preparing your own meals, there is a separate, closed off bedroom, the complex has multiple water options (2 pools, 2 hot tubs) an onsite eatery if you wish to eat there or grab take out for a beach picnic or day at the pool. We believe this condo and this complex offer tremendous value.
