Born in Havana to a family of musicians, artists and tourists guides, studied Music at the Conservatorio Alejandro G. Caturla and the wellknown Conservatorio Amadeo Roldán. Afterwards I grounded the all female band Havana Open with my mother and we came to Germany. We've been living here in Düsseldorf since then. I also married a musician (what a surprise!) and we have 3 wonderful kids together. Now we're running the Jazzclub Em Pöötzke (Düsseldorf Altstadt) and playing Music all around (now even leading my own Band, Qban Soul). Sports has also been a very important part of my life in the last couple of years, I've been teaching Zumba and Fitness Classes, and my husband is a Tennis-Teacher as well. Further we used to run an Event Agency (Mi Habana Events) bringing the Cuban Spirit to Europe (and beyond!) with genuine "Havana Open Nights" which included a professional Cuban Bartender, a Cuban Torcedora (Cigar twister) and Connoisseur and of course, Music and Dance.
In the meanwhile, our place in Havana has been "working" since 1998, we had already lots of great guests that became good friends. Now, since my parents decided sharing their time beetwen Havana and Düsseldorf, they have plenty of time to take care of our guests. Our 4 homes are open for you, if you want to learn more about Cubans, our Country and Traditions.
Enjoy the journey! It'll be a great experience, for sure!
