Vintage caravan with two single beds, located on private land. Animals live on site: goats and cats. Self-catering only. Caravan is clean, well kept (with the imperfections of age). Solar lighting: lamps & Fairy lights (no piped electricity) Water comes straight off the mountain to the kitchen sink of the caravan. Location offers privacy for those who are looking for a retreat style 'time out'.

El lugar

Off grid caravan. This place is enjoyed by people who like being close to nature. I work as a shamanic practitioner so I like a bit of wild ground around me (I am not so interested in 'taming' the land), I try to work with whatever it presents...seeing weeds as herbs etc.

Suitable for those who would like quiet time to themselves as opposed to being in a busy hostel etc while in Beara.

What you get:
Tea & Coffee are provided with uht milk pods.
Camping gas stove. Frying pan, pots, plates, glasses.
Breakfast: orange juice, meusli, natural yoghurt, bread and butter provided in caravan.
Otherwise its full self-catering.
Beds are fully dressed.
Towels for bathing.
Caravan porta-loo (chemical toilet) located in caravan.

Please note: no piped electricity. This is solar lighting. Cooling box provided in van with the ice pack given every day to keep your food cool.
Outdoor bath; Many people like to light the outdoor wood burning stove and have a bath nearby then enjoy sitting by fire after. People pick herbs or seaweed and enjoy the closeness to nature. Other showering options: heating water on stove and place into flexi-tub.
I have animals: 4 cats and 3 friendly goats. (cats are not allowed in caravan). This place will not suit those who may not like animals roaming about.

One thing I would say is arrive early. Like, before dark so you can get a tour and see the view of the ocean. Have a bonfire and just relax. This was an amazing off grid experience that I would highly recommend for all. It's good to unplug and just do what we were made to do and build relationships without the phone. Thanks Norah, you are awesome!!!

Please read Norah's description in full before renting this spot. Personally, this was the perfect home for this gypsy wayward wandering tribal soul. The accommodations are clean, creative and just as described. I came to the Beara for a Shamanic workshop (with Norah the Goddess herself) and was lucky enough to stay in the Rose Caravan. This was the perfect spot to meditate, journey, read, and just "be" with myself and the goats and kitties. I enjoyed warming the water on the stove, adding essential oils and salt and having a cleansing bath in nature every morning and evening. There are all the amenities one could ask for: cozy beddings, pillows, toilet, warm water, fridge for food, outdoor seating, fire pit and a view of wildlife. Good energy! Grand experience. Norah was always available to communicate prior to and during the stay. She is literally the most lovely person in the entire Universe. This was the highlight of my two week journey in Ireland. Will MOST DEF be back!!!!!!!!!!

Read the description to know what you're in for, and you'll enjoy it, we enjoyed it a ton. Norah is friendly and bubbly and can tell you more than most travel guides about Beara. The camper is a great break from the typical B&B, and is surprisingly well equipped and comfortable to create a real cozy atmosphere. 10/10 we'd do it again in an instant.

Norah is a very welcoming, super well prepared and very very friendly host. She showed us everything that is to know around the caravan and area and made sure we felt at home straight away. The caravan is very clean, well equipped and nicely decorated. The location is right off the main Beara road and easily to find and access. Norah has some really friendly animals on her property who are very welcoming as well! Would definitely recommend her place to anyone looking for a great camping experience on the lovely Beara Peninsula.

Norahs place has everything needed for a nights rest. The cats are scavengers and food needs to be well guarded and vigilant with antiseptic spray if using the outside area. Norah was really helpful and friendly. It was great to have a roof over our heads and to be out of the rain.

Nature lover....I work as a shamanic healer and teacher. I am widely travelled and have created the type of space that I would like to stay in. (privacy, close to nature, a few wild animals, rustic, old, vintage)
