Our historic home is in the lovely Elmwood Village and also on Buffalo Olmsted Parkway land. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. It is perfect for 1 or a group of 12. We offer bikes, running paths, a workout gym and a lovely front porch and back patio. We are also a "green" home and use all non toxic cleaning supplies. We are walking distance to a lot of restaurants, shops, museums and parks.

El lugar

We are close to a few universities and walking distance to many restaurants and shopping. We are also very close to the park, museums and art galleries. There is plenty of free parking available. Directions can be confusing sometimes but in case you have trouble locating it, we are on the corner of Bidwell Parkway and Chapin Parkway.

We clean with all non toxic products and all beds are organic or made with all natural materials and the linens are as well. The entire house has central air conditioning along with a few window units on the third floor for additional comfort.

Downtown Buffalo and Canalside is 3 miles away and Niagara Falls is about a 20-25 minute drive. We also can recommend a beautiful drive along the river to the Falls. (You will need your passport for this drive.)The Elmwood Village is a quaint area full of shops, restaurants, museums, and parks. Park your car and you can walk the neighborhood.

Our Historic Home was built in 1906 on land surrounded by landscaped circles, parkways and avenues that lead to open public parks. Soldiers Place is one of Olmsted's circles with a center median and broad parkways radiating from it. The streets surrounding Soldiers were named for Civil War Heroes: General Bidwell, Chapin and Lincoln. It is a Georgian inspired Colonial Revival style with a cross gable roof. The front porch has iconic columns supporting clapboard, and a leaded glass window. The inside has been primarily restored to its original form with all of the wood being stripped and preserved. Most the woodwork is quarter sawn oak. The restoration we did was featured on HGTV, Restore America.

Therese and Tom were incredible hosts, truly the definition of 5 Stars! We rented their entire home for a wedding in Buffalo and had no problem accommodating 10 people in the house. Their historic home is beautiful and has been masterfully renovated. It sits in a gorgeous park/part of town and was walking distance from the wedding ceremony and reception. As hosts, Therese and Tom worked with us throughout the weekend and constantly checked up to make sure we were having a great experience. We mentioned to them that we were taking the red eye from Los Angeles (and would be landing at 6 am) and they had no problem letting us come in early to crash and rest before our big weekend. They left us snacks, amazing local wines and cheeses, which we all enjoyed throughly. Lastly, they were incredibly sweet to let us have a late check out (1 pm) as they knew our wedding reception went late into the night. Once again, thank you guys!!! I can't say enough good things about them and their beautiful home.

Perfil de usuario de Therese And TomTherese And Tom es SuperAnfitrión.

Therese has her own events planning company in Buffalo for over 31 years and can guide guests to almost any great restaurant, tourist attraction and has connections at many places. Tom is in commercial real estate, and loves to cook!. They both love the City and know the surrounding area very well. Therese is an avid Buffalo Bills and Sabres fan, so if you are coming in for a game, she can direct you in the right direction for whatever you should need. (She has planned events for Jim Kelly for over 31 years and her brother is a scout for the Sabres.) Tom and Therese love to cook, exercise, garden, sip wine and be with their dogs as much as possible! If you are coming in for a Buffalo Bills game, Therese has a tail gate party for every home game at the infamous Big Tree Inn and you are more than welcomed to join in on the festivities.
