Enjoy the comforts of home away from home in our bright and comfortable bungalow. Your private bedroom and bathroom are secluded from our living area - relax in a spacious set-up that has everything you could need. This very clean and inviting space is perfect for your getaway. Walking distance to coffee, shopping, restaurants, brew pub, wine stores, public transportation, Reed College, and many city hikes and local parks.
You will feel like you have your own private oasis - see the reviews!
The private bathroom and bedroom are secluded from our living space (the upstairs part of the house). Outside your private bathroom and bedroom (both have locking doors) is a heavy-duty curtain at the end of the hall from the bedroom and bathroom to give more privacy to your own space off the kitchen, which is far away from our living space upstairs (we minimize our use of the kitchen when guests are here). Your private bedroom and bathroom are right next to each other.
The bedroom has room darkening blinds with extra blankets and pillows, as well as a small fan for air or white noise, and a backup heater, if you need more heat than the home's set thermostat. There's a window unit AC for the hot days. There's also a TV with a Roku player and high speed Internet access.
The bedroom has a desk for a computer, along with a chair. There's a TV table that can be found in the large walk-in closet.
The bathroom has extra towels, a hair dryer, straightening iron, bath salts for a relaxing soak in the tub, first aid, shampoo/conditioner, soap, body lotion, and many other items one might find they need if they forgot something.
Guests are welcome to use our kitchen and outdoor BBQ to cook, or simply heat water for coffee and tea - a French press is provided, along with some Stumptown coffee, tea, sugar and cream. Guest cabinet space in kitchen available, with use of the refrigerator.
Disponible para huéspedes
There's an alarmed key-less, back-lit keypad for easy entry and safety. A code will be provided before your arrival, so there's no need for us to be present when you check-in.
Guests will have access to the kitchen (feel free to use the refrigerator, toaster, stove, and all kitchen supplies), living room, dining room, laundry, outdoor seating areas, bikes, and use of BBQ.
The upstairs is not shared space - it is our private living area, but we are happy to share the space on the main floor and outside.
Atención a los huéspedes
We love hosting our guests and want to make sure you get the most out of your stay. Please message or call me at any time for questions or recommendations, and I am, of course, available to talk in person if I am home. I know the city inside and out, so I am happy to offer guidance. We live in separate area upstairs (not shared space). We will be living our daily life in shared space, respecting your stay and space, and making sure it is quiet.

If I have a minimum date set, and the time frame isn't booked, please always feel free to inquire if I can adjust the dates.
It never hurts to inquire about an earlier check-in time, if you have an early arrive time. We are open to guests dropping bags off before the room is ready (message me to approve in advance).
If there's long-term interest (month+), cleaning fee will go up, along with a refundable security fee, and I offer a discount for long-term stays. I am happy to discuss so all parties are comfortable.
Woodstock neighborhood has everything you could need: restaurants, high-end grocery, affordable grocery, wine shop, brewery, international foods, bakery, coffee shops, and plenty of places to walk and explore. We are minutes from downtown, trendy and historic Sellwood, Hawthorne, Division, and several other great Portland neighborhoods. Visiting a Reed College student? We are walking distance to the campus (about 7 blocks away).
New Seasons market has a great rooftop deck to enjoy food and freshly poured drinks, which is less than a half mile away walking distance. Safeway and Trader Joe's are also walking distance. Hood River's famous Double Mountain Brewery has come to Portland and is also walking distance, just blocks away.
There's a vintage store, hardware store, banks, liquor, cannabis (this is Portland, after all), and many other types of stores in the neighborhood.
Please do not wear shoes in the bedroom with carpet. You can remove shoes right outside the bedroom door or once you enter the back door.
We kindly request that you not bring over strangers you've just met during your visit to spend the night or "hang-out" - we are okay with you having family or friends visit briefly while you're here, but for security purposes, we ask that you only have the number of people originally signed up on the booking stay the night and that you never provide the key code to anyone not booked on the original reservation.
Please respect that the upstairs is off limits to guests - it is our private living space. Thank you :-)
