We had a great time in London. The neighborhood was fabulous. BRICK LANE is great. Wonderful art shops and coffee houses. Sunday market is a great foodie event. Spitalfield Market is also wonderful. Graffiti art is amazing. Nadia's place was wonderful...clean and comfortable. Great location near Underground station so travel all over London was quite easy.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Nadia's place. The unit is in an apartment building only a block off of Brick Lane, but away from the hubub. For those unfamiliar with is, Brick Lane has lots of bars and restaurants (many with good reviews), and it (and the Spitalfields Market area next to it) attracts a lot of people in the evenings, so it is itself quite a scene. But as stated, the apartment building itself is away from that. The building is very modest, but Nadia’s unit is spotless, with nice finishes. The double bed was comfortable, the shower nice, and it had a separate W.C. Nadia was unavailable when we arrived but Lili met us at their restaurant (Chez Elles, really nice), and walked us over to the place and showed us around. There is no street noise, and although we could hear some talking through the walls (not loud), it was never at night or during sleep hours. The large window gives a lot of light, but it has a roll-down shade that keeps the bedroom dark at night. The apartment has good wifi, and also has an electric kettle with an assortment of teas.

Nadia and Lily definitely went over and above what was expected, given that they got up to let me in at 2am, after my flight had been delayed by 6 hours! I've never been so glad to see a comfy bed. The room is spacious, light, quiet and really stylishly renovated. There's a lovely bathroom and separate toilet. It's also nice having your own front door. On top of that, I had dinner at their lovely bistro just 30 seconds away. Delicious French food, quirky decor and a real buzz of atmosphere. What a find! The location is very convenient. I was able to walk to work at Barbican each day, although there are also Tube stops just round the corner. Thanks, both - I'll be back!

Nadia and Lilli were great hosts and the Shoreditch area is phenomenal. I grew up close to NYC, and Shoreditch reminds me of Brooklyn in its hipster prime. Location wise, you are a 1 minute walk away from Brick Lane, a major hub in Shoreditch. There is an abundance of pubs, thrift stores, and amazing graffiti and art. Make sure to check out the Brick Lane Sunday Market as well as the Colombia Road Flower Market early in the morning. It was the highlight of my trip and heaven for foodies and those looking for unique trinkets and clothing. Nadia and Lilli's place is cozy, clean, and stylishly decorated. It's a relatively small flat but it has everything you need for your stay-- besides you'll be out and about most of the day. They also offer a small set of teas, a pot to boil water, and cute tea cups. They also own Chez Elles, a beautifully decorated French restaurant. Unfortunately we didn't have the pleasure of eating there but next time we're in Shoreditch that will be our first stop. I would highly recommend staying here!
