Quaint neighborhood only 2 blocks from the Canal St. Ferry. Our neighborhood offers 2 coffee shops, 3 bars and just as many churches. Take the ferry across to many other fabulous restaurants.

Nice apartment in a historic home. The neighborhood is quiet and offers some neat neighborhood cafes as well as a welcoming English Pub that allows you to bring your dog inside ( They don't serve food). Easy access to the tourist areas in the French Quarter via Ferry two blocks away. Great value. Only detractor was some work on the kitchen ceiling limited my use of the kitchen during my visit.

Amazing place and neighborhood to stay. My husband and I were really charmed by Old Algiers and felt we got the real New Orleans experience because we were staying away from the tourist spots. Teresa and her friends were so accommodating. When the AC wasn't cooling the upstairs they quickly got us a fan (even though it was late at night). Teresa quickly responded to our need. Check in and check out was easy; we had our own key so we weren't bothering anyone with our schedule. The proximity to the ferry was a huge plus-we could ride over to downtown and easily ride back to the quiet and charm of Old Algiers for a couple of dollars each. It was fun to be on the Mississippi River. We also walked the trail by the river on the Old Algiers side-very well maintained and we loved talking to the locals-they love their town and give amazing history lessons.

I had such a nice experience. Great place, great location. The Ferry is 3 min walk and it takes you (5 min) right to the beautiful French Quarter (a couple of blocks). It is amazing to take the Ferry, much more fun then Uber, great view, 5 min away from all the hotspots and $2. Teresa has been great, very responsive and caring.

This stay was okay. It is a charming house. The check in/check out process was a little confusing.

Very comfortable bed! The home is very charming and historic. There is no microwave in the kitchen which actually didn't suck, but I think is worth mentioning. The shared spaces are quite homey and relaxing.

This was amazing!! Its right above the Mardi Gras School of Cooking, which i highly recommend, a great class if you wanna learn how to make authentic ettoufe and gumbo! A block away from a great po' boy resturant, and just a ferry ride ($2) over from the French Quater, and the garden district. Talkative hosts with tons of cool stories and information!

Great cozy place. Queen size bed, comfortable, and great location. In a quiet neighborhood across the Mississippi from the French quarter, but a block or so away from the Ferry. Teresa is great and full of good suggestions too. I highly recommend this place. Also make sure to download the public trans app for Nola, it includes the Ferry, busses, and trolleys, and has great deals if you'll use it a bit, and information and times.
