My partner, John, and I live in Ashland, OR. John is a professor at Southern Oregon University, and I am a writer and entrepreneur (seasonal café, rentals, a feather business). One of our passions is dogs and dog rescue, and we've rescued and placed over 25 dogs now. We are very active people who enjoy hiking, traveling, reading, and exploring new places/ideas. We love Mexico and go both to Sayulita and Guanajuato regularly. We especially appreciate the laid back attitude of the culture and their love of laughter, family, and friendship. Some of my favorite places to travel other than Mexico include Peru, Kenya, Italy and France, India, and Nepal. I have lived in Norway, England, and on the west coast; John has lived in Australia, Mexico and the west coast. A book I recently read and enjoyed is The Geography of Bliss, by Eric Weiner. It's an amusing read.
We bought our house in Sayulita 12 years ago and it's been interesting to see how the town has changed now that it's become truly "discovered." It's a wonderful blend of local families, ex-pats, surfers, artists, musicians, healers, etc. We wanted to share our wonderful house in this great town, and appreciate renters who are respectful of our place and responsible.
