Two storey house in the popular suburb of Mermaid Beach within five minute’s walk to the beach and across the road from numerous restaurants and cafés and local convenience stores. Up to 6 guests can be accommodated in 3 separate bedrooms upstairs or if the downstairs bedroom is required up to 8 guests. There are 3 bathrooms, two living areas, a well equipped kitchen, and a small swimming pool with cascading water feature and beach shower. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing holiday. Free WIFI.

There are 3 ways to book the accommodation.

1: Bedrooms 1 and 2: for up to 4 people - $250 / night
2: Bedrooms 1, 2 and 3: for up to 6 people - $300 / night
Minimum stay for Options 1 and 2 is two nights.
3: For up to 8 people which includes Bedroom 4 - $350 / night.
Minimum stay for Option 3 is seven nights.

The check in / out times can be flexible, particularly on the 2 night stays where early check in and later check out times would be preferred. Confirm with owner.

The security bond and cleaning fee is the same for each type of booking.


The Commonwealth Games commence 4th April and finish on the 15th April, 2018.
The house is available from 3rd April check in, until 16th April check out.
All 4 bedrooms will be available during this period with a maximum of 8 guests.
The nightly rate is $1000 and a 3 night minimum stay applies.
The security bond and cleaning fee are the same as for normal bookings.

Mermaid Beach is a popular seaside suburb which has been able to keep its laid back and friendly atmosphere. It is a safe area for adults and children alike.

The house has been recently renovated making it a comfortable place to stay and one where the beach is easily accessible. After enjoying a swim, the small pool is an ideal to spot to relax.

There is a security system installed in the house and the front gate can be locked.

There is ample room for up to 8 guests in 4 separate bedrooms with 3 bathrooms and 2 living areas.

Upstairs contains the open plan kitchen, dining area and sitting room which opens to an outdoor dining terrace, with seating for 8 and a daybed. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking at home with european appliances including steam oven, oven, microwave and a large fridge. The living area has a dining table which seats 8 and a TV with Foxtel Premium IQ2 and blue-ray DVD player. There is a west facing verandah accessible from the kitchen, which has a bar table and two stools where the great sunsets can be enjoyed overlooking the hinterland.

The bedrooms and bathroom come off a corridor from the living room with Bedroom 1 at the front of the house (east), containing a queen size bed with its own ensuite bathroom and built in wardrobe.

Bedroom 2 is at the back of the house (west) and has a queen size bed with a built in wardrobe.

Bedroom 3 is adjacent 2 and has a queen size sofa bed and a built in wardrobe. There are double sliding doors separating Bedrooms 2 and 3 offering the option of 2 self contained bedrooms or just one big room with 2 beds.

Bedrooms 2 and 3 have access to the main upstairs bathroom which has a shower, toilet and bath.

On ground level there is a second living room which opens out through bifold doors to the outdoor area adjacent the pool. Here there is a Weber Q BBQ and an outdoor dining setting for 8 people. The living room has a TV with Foxtel Premium IQ3, Netflix and many other internet related programmes. Free wifi is available.

Adjacent to the sitting room is an office. This room is also a bicycle storage area. Two push bikes with helmets are available for guests. The 2 electric bikes stored here are not available for guests.

Bedroom 4, is located on ground level towards the back of the house (west) with its own large ensuite bathroom and walk in robe (WIR). This bedroom has a queen size bed. There is a clothes hanging rail and a free standing storage shelf cabinet available for guests' clothes in the WIR. The built in wardrobes in the WIR contain the owner's clothes. The ensuite bathroom has a rain shower, bath, toilet, heated towel rail and a double vanity. This bedroom is only available for guests who book option 3, for up to 8 people. It will be locked for the other two booking options.

The room opposite Bedroom 4 is locked for the owner's private storage.

By the back door there is a laundry containing a sink, and Miele washing machine and dryer. A clothes line is located on the south west corner of the house.

Adjacent to the laundry is a room locked for the owner's private storage. There is a small storage room off the laundry which is locked for the owner's private storage.

There is plenty of street parking available. The carport at the back of the house is for the owner's cars only. There may be the opportunity of using one of the two off street parks depending on the owner's situation at the time of booking.

The house is air conditioned. Free Wifi is available throughout the house.

A car is not necessary once you arrive at the house as everything is so close by. The local restaurants, cafes and bars are a few minutes walk away.

The Gold Coast Airport is only 25 minutes away to the south, with Broadbeach (10 minutes) and Surfers Paradise (15 minutes) to the north.

The theme parks, Dreamworld and Movie World are a 40 minute drive north along the M1, and SeaWorld 20 minutes away. All are easy to get to by public transport.

Pets may be permitted. Make a submission for consideration. We often have our children's dog for sleepovers.

Guests can access the whole house apart from the locked rooms. Bedroom 4 will be locked unless booked as described in Option 3. There are 2 other rooms that will be locked which contain the owner's storage items.

If we are on the Gold Coast we will welcome our guests personally. If not, house keys will be available from a wall mounted Master Lock key safe located by the front door. Instructions on access will be provided prior to arrival.

This house is absolutely perfect in every way. It is massive and has everything you can imagine or need. Beautifully decorated, with no frills. All the bedrooms are quiet large and homely with beautiful crisp linen and lovely soft pillows. Bathrooms were all well laid out and modern (the downstairs ensuite was amazing). Kitchen has an amazing range of appliances and kitchen wares. The open plan living is great for being able to spend time with family (even if the men want to watch the footy while the ladies have a wine). But the downstairs area also allows you to break free from the family if you need a little quiet time. Location is very central with a quick stroll to the beach and short drive to the shops. I can not make any suggestions as this place is already perfect in every way. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

A great stay,a great location close to all things you want on the Gold Coast. Mark was a great host, very professional and caring. He was a pleasure to deal with. The house was fabulous, the kitchen, the bathroom, the outdoor pool area,the living areas are all well planned and make for a great stay. We especially enjoyed drinks on the back deck enjoying the afternoon display of light from the sun. You can have a refreshing break here without leaving the property. The location allows quick access to the beach,local restaurants, bars and coffee shops. It is also close to public transport. It has our highest recommendation.
