Response from Tony, Operations Manager: In response to your review, our auto rental service is based around ensuring that our guests rent vehicle that best suits their plans and activities. You informed me that you and your fellow guest intended to do the ATM caves and other off road activities, to which I suggested that you rent the Jeep that is 4x4 and excellent for off road terrain. I informed you that the cost is $75 U.S. per day inclusive of insurance and applicable fees (as oppose to $70 U.S. you mentioned in the review). You then informed me that you will try to seek cheaper quotations; to which I said no problem. At no point in time was the Dodge Caliber mentioned. It was you who later called and informed me the evening that you were quoted a price of $50 U.S. on a Dodge Caliber and asked if it was available; to which I checked if it was and told you yes. Please note that it does not matter us one way or another which vehicle is rented, as they come with their own cost and their own maintenance expenses. And as regards fuel in the vehicle, whatever amount of fuel you receive in the vehicle, that is the amount you are to return the vehicle with. So if it was an eighth of a tank of fuel, then we expect an eight of a tank upon return.
The fact that you feel I am dishonest because you were quoted a price of $50 U.S. two months ago and was informed that the current price had been adjusted to $60 U.S., does not justify giving us a low review score of 3 for, according to you, a "HOME THAT IS VERY BEAUTIFUL AND HAD EVERYTHING WE NEEDED". This is especially since I had gone a step further to log into my Airbnb admin app to show you that all current quotation for the Dodge Caliber rental was for $60 U.S.
In regards to the condition of the vehicle, we did a thorough inspection including start up of the vehicle before you signed the contract, of which you agreed to without any objections. and in regards to the vehicle being handed over, you were given the opportunity to hand it over the following morning to our rental agent, who met you and dropped you back to the Airbnb. No roadside transaction occurred and he was at location awaiting your arrival ahead of time.
In regards to an issue with ants, the Airbnb is located on the 3rd floor and at no point in time have any guests informed us about any ants in the unit.
For you to say that you cannot trust the person who is supposed to take care of you is very unfair and misleading, as since myself and my staff take great pride in ensuring that honesty and integrity is shown to all guests.
