This comfortable apartment is fully self catered and on an amazing ship that lies in the centre of Rotterdam. In walking distance of the Markthal, Coolsingel, Koopgoot and Erasmusbrug. Enjoy everything that Rotterdam has to offer. Look for me on Social Media use @ HouseboatRotterdam. I share tips and nice pictures there.
This Ship, a Spits, was build in 1937. It was used to carry goods over the Dutch rivers. In 2009 the biggest part of the Ship, the cargo hold, was fully renovated and made into accommodation for guests to stay in. This means that the space is clean and comfortable, and at the same time you still feel that you're on a ship. Rotterdam, being an seaport, is connected to the sea. This means that the ship moves with the tides. The difference is 2 meters, so it's possible you go into town and have to climb the walkway while leaving the ship and when you come back you have to climb the walkway again while entering the ship.
Disponible para huéspedes
The ship is divided in 3 apartments and I live in the one in the middle. The apartment in the front I now rent to guests. The entrance leads you into the spacious and comfortable living room with open plan kitchen. There is a large double Sofa bed in the living room. A wide hall that that continues along the entire apartment gives access to a spacious double Bedroom with ensuite Shower room, two separate toilets and another spacious double Bedroom with ensuite Shower room. The ship dates from 1937 and the part where the captain used to live and sail the ship is still in the original state. This is the third apartment, but is currently not rented out yet.

The apartment is on a Ship. This means it moves. Because of the wind and the tides. It makes the stay special.
No smoking inside. No loud music after 23.00
I'm living in the apartment next door, and will receive the guests personally. This also means I'm close by if any help is required.
I'm born in Holland and currently live in Rotterdam. I studied Law and Medieval History in Groningen. I have worked in Knowledge Management in big Lawyers firms for about 15 years and currently coordinate Tenders for an IT Company. In february 2017 I moved from a small, 40 sqm, houseboat in the beautiful old centre of Amsterdam to my beautiful 200 sqm ship in the centre of Rotterdam. The ship was already divided in 3 apartments and I moved in the one in the middle of the ship. The apartment in the front I now rent to guests who want to explore Rotterdam and make their stay extra special by sleeping on a ship.
I speak English and German fluently and understand Italian and French. I love to receive guests from all over the world and share my excitement about this vibrant City of Rotterdam.
