Beautiful apartment in great location. The photos don't do the place justice. Very light and airy and has everything you need. We were expecting more stairs but it is only really up one flight. The stairs are very wide so was easy to carry bags, toddler and a buggy. Although it's on a main road amongst shops there is no noise whatsoever. Really peaceful and has a tranquil vibe. Very good value for money. Great communication from the host who responded very swiftly to an issue we raised which was resolved asap. Very clean and a well thought out layout. My only tip would be to make sure you take plenty change for the car parks if you plan days out in the area.

The apartment is very charming with great touches of decor and paint schemes. It came well equipped with all the cooking necessities and ample seating with a table and chairs, alongside 2 sofa's . The large windows allow ample light in when open (with entertainment from when seagulls land and easy to tell if you need to grab some sun cream) and block out the light and sound of seagulls when closed. The seagulls are not really an issue, it is an active fishing village so they add to the charm, just be careful they dont end up eating your lunch for you :) The location, be wary of using the satnav as it can bring you into the back of Looe (onto Barbican Road off the B253, stay on the B253!) with very windy and narrow, makes for some "fun" driving but there other roads are much more accessible. Once there it is fantastic for a base in Looe, a bit dangerous (URL HIDDEN) there is a Coop and 2 bakers within 30 seconds of the front door, great for breakfest with fresh goods. The location gives many options from having a wander around exploring the shops of Looe, to the beach, or 2 extensive walking trails in opposite directions - it does get hilly but there are plenty of benches to admire the breath taking views. It is also very accessible by car to other areas of Cornwall such as St Ives or Newquay for a day out at the beach. Once back at the house you can feel like a local fisherman and take to the river with crabbing, provides entertainment for hours. The hosts are very hospitable in responding to any questions but you can see they have shown their passion in the apartment.

We had a lovely stay at Damian's flat. It's lovely and very well placed. The flat was perfect for a week holiday.

This apartment is very centrally located above the parade of shops (up stairs) in Looe. It would be easily walkable from the train station. There is no on street parking nearby, but a big carpark directly out the front, good for unloading/packing up and a cheaper carpark - Millpool 5 mins walk away (£38/week). The studio apartment is nicely decorated and has distinct areas for bed, living area and kitchen. We brought our baby boy with us and a Chicco Next2me crib fits beside the bed. The apartment is very light due to large roof light, maybe 9m x 9m, which is great in the day. If you struggle with sleep, maybe bring a sleep mask and earplugs to block out the seagulls. I'm sure these are noisy anywhere you go. We enjoyed delicious fish and chips from Catch of the day. Overall this was a lovely spot for a restful trip to Looe, great location near to shops, cafes and restaurants and soft beach.

Great little, well decorated and equipped apartment right in the centre of town in a perfect location to the restaurants, pubs, shops, bus stop and not too far from the train station or main car park. Perfect size for two people, although there isn't much space to hang clothes up, but there are enough drawers to make up for it. Nice and clean for the most part, there were a few suspect looking rugs in the apartment that were a little stained but no complaints over the cleanliness of the linen, the bathroom or the bedspread. The local seagulls seem to have created their home on the roof and often sit on the large roof window/skylight throughout the day and early morning, making a lot of noise in the process. Nothing can be done, but if you're a light sleeper or you don't like birds... then maybe take this into consideration. The apartment can get very hot throughout the day. Even though the weather wasn't hot when we stayed, the roof window and skylights soak up the heat throughout the day and made for a hot surprise when we got back to the apartment in the afternoon. Overall a very nice little apartment for a short stay in a beautiful and cute little town.

Respuesta de Damian:
Thank you Enrico. Our apologies if the rugs were stained, the entire flat is thoroughly cleaned before every visit. We buy new rugs and cushions every year but can't afford to do this all the time. I would definitely suggest closing the electric blinds during the daytime to avoid the flat heating up. Although we do have a fan for extremely warm weather. I'm afraid that being a Cornish seaside town the Seagulls come with the territory.
