Otros aspectos destacables

Weather in the desert can be a real hazard. When it is hot please expect to need 2 gallons of water per person per day minimum if you plan on moving at all, it is recommended to consume a gallon per day per person if you are sedentary in that kind of heat. Daytime temps in the summer climb over the 110 degree mark. In the winter it can be quite cold at night, sometimes freezing for a week at a time. Winter storms and Summer monsoons are also something to consider when planning to travel to the high desert. Flash flooding can get you stranded and the wet desert floor can be difficult to camp on. The National Weather Service is our weather resource, you may use this to gauge your camping weather.

This place was exactly what we needed after we discovered Joshua Tree camping spots were full. Great price and Alicia and Tad had the basics for our stay-it was SUPER windy so the extra bricks and rocks were helpful as was the chairs and picnic table to sit at. We originally booked for a spot that ended up being next to a little more rowdy group but Tad was super accommodating and let us stay at a spot farther away. It was during the week so not many other campers were there, i'm sure it fills up on the weekends. The port-o-potty was the best smelling one i've been in in a while and there was enough toilet paper and wipes to go around. the water spicket was clutch and Tad let us know on warmer nights the hot tub is open for business. Thanks Alicia and Tad for welcoming us to your property and accommodating us 10 minutes after requesting the booking :)

I highly recommend this campground as an alternative to camping inside JTNP. Alicia and Tad have built a clean, secure, welcoming environment away from the crowds and noise of the park campgrounds. The immaculate, pleasantly lit, well-anchored Porto is far more comforting at 2am, in the middle of a desert windstorm than a pitch black pit toilet with cold sludgy air blowing upwards from the seat. With that said, be sure to plan for wind as there is no protection. Climber Tip: if you stay here, you can enter the park for day use for free at Indian Cove. There is great climbing and exploring and far less competition for routes. There are also plentiful top rope walls for kids and beginners.

This campground is unlike any other! Really inexpensive , not to mention all the extras , like firewood for your own personal fire pit , hiot tub , and even breakfast in the morning . All cost extra but not much extra . There's even two bathroom types to choose from haha. We took off across the way there's a big open space where we saw plenty of woldflowers , and after dark set up our telescope by our campsite after dinner by the fire . The campsites are near each other and the fire pits are pretty close to each other also , but I suggest you just set up a little further from the center , it worried for us just fine . I don't have any regrets staying here , I recommend it ! Thank you Alicia !

We loved our stay at this quiet, secluded campsite that's just a 15 minute drive to Joshua Tree National Park. Clean toilets, great facilities, and the nicest hosts. We had a lovely stay.
