"Grianal" was built in the 1920s, and is named for Loch Dunvegan`s first safe anchorage (Eilean Grianal, or Island of the Sun). Visitors can use the driveway to park, or a parking place 40 metres from the property. Dunvegan is a village with lots of walks available for visitors to explore this rugged corner of the Isle of Skye. For those interested in history, nearby is Dunvegan Castle and many even older remains for those with a desire to explore. Bookings between April and September only.
