We are now members of Teresa and Bruce’s (URL HIDDEN) least that’s the way my husband and I felt for four fabulous days while living in their home! We walked through their door as strangers and immediately felt like old friends. Teresa and Bruce not only opened their beautiful home situated in a little piece of paradise, but they helped us to relax and well, lighten up from the hustle and bustle that had been our lives. Bruce has a wealth of information about the land and culture of the area and we could ask anything freely. He is a master griller to boot. Teresa was also a delight through her wit and genuine care for our well-being and enjoyment. However, our waistlines took a major hit because her cooking was absolutely delicious. Although there was plenty to do and see in the area, sometimes we just sat by the beautiful, rushing stream just a few steps away from our lovely and comfortable room. Camaraderie or quiet solitude, whichever you prefer, is yours for the asking. We made memories with these lovely people and are grateful that they opened their home and hearts to us. We will definitely return.

This is a beautiful place on the edge of the forest. Bruce and Theresa (and Jasmine the dog) are great hosts and enjoy welcoming people to their spacious log cabin. Our fellow guests were also enjoyable to meet - it seems to be a place that attracts interesting folk (we did a lot of chatting about the eclipse). The wifi is quite shaky and the mobile phone reception poor - but hey, you are in the deep countryside! The TomTom GPS also doesn't seem to have located the property correctly so it can be confusing to get there. Great breakfasts, enhanced by a visit of a white-tailed deer to the front lawn!

We stayed at Bruce and Teresa's B&B for the eclipse. They are very friendly and it felt like home away from home. We can never forget the awesome sourdough pancakes, biscuits and all the good food. There were couple other families at the same time and we all had lots of fun together. Definitely a memorable and hospitable place!

Magic! This was such a special treat. From the babbling creek to the sourdough pancakes, you won't get a better place for the money. Bruce and Teresa have created such a special oasis, I cannot recommend it enough. They greeted us at the driveway, we got to know each other with snacks, and had a beautiful late night talk over beers after exploring nearby Baker City. It's about a 20 min drive into town, but if you take Bruce up on his grilling skills and bring something to cook, you won't need or want to go anywhere at all. We wish we would have stayed longer.

As we pulled into the driveway, our hosts Bruce and Teresa were standing outside with a welcoming smile on their faces. We immediately felt comfortable. Their log home was beautiful and very inviting. As we spent more time with Bruce and Teresa, they made us feel like we had been friends for years. Bruce took us for a fun 4 wheeler ride and offered to cook us dinner on the grill (he is an expert griller !) so we purchased some food and relaxed as he grilled for us. Teresa prepared homemade scones that were mouth watering and our second morning some sour dough pancakes par excellence. Bruce and Teresa have the gift of hospitality-stay with them and you too will enjoy your visit ! We have been reminiscing about our stay with Bruce and Teresa for a few days since we left and feel like we are already missing them !! We can't wait to go back for another visit.

We had a wonderful time at Bruce and Teresa's place just outside of Baker City. They are such kind, welcoming hosts and Teresa made the best sourdough pancakes and biscuits and gravy for breakfast. The home is beautiful and set in such a gorgeous and peaceful location. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck, listening to the babbling brook. I will definitely be staying with the next time we return to Baker City.

Bruce and Teresa were so welcoming upon arrival and their hospitality throughout our stay was fantastic. Here are some highlights from our stay: The room: The bed was cozy. Having the window open allowed us to listen to the creek flowing all night. A 'LED'? candle was a nice touch on the nightstand. The room was very clean and comfortable. It is a mountain lodge, so there was an animal mount on the wall. The home: Beautiful, lodge style decorated, comfortable and clean log home. The outside is so peaceful and pleasant with the creek running right outside the back door. There were deer right in the yard for viewing and a sweet dog, Jazz, who played nicely with our dog. Food: Delicious homemade wine was offered when we first arrived and that was a treat! Teresa made hand down, the best sourdough pancakes I have ever had!! Fresh fruit and french toast was also tasty. Bacon was available, but opted out. Bruce and Teresa were very kind and we definitely look forward to visiting again.
