Nestled in amongst the vines that produce some of New Zealands best Pinot Noir wines, you will find our tranquil getaway. Kick back and enjoy the peaceful surroundings and stunning mountain views that are Gibbston.
Step back in time in this 1906 weather board villa, relocated from Christchurch and beautifully renovated, retaining all the old stunning details and adding 21st century comfort. Enjoy this beautiful home and garden just a short thirty minute drive from bustling Queenstown.
We hope you will find our home a peaceful and relaxing oasis, somewhere to escape the trials and tribulations of everyday life. We purposefully do not have a TV to allow you to switch off from the world and truly unwind. We hope you will take this opportunity to disconnect but for those who must stay in touch we have WiFi.
You will have complete sole use of the house and 1.6 acre garden to enjoy.
Our beautiful home remains cool in summer and toasty in winter with a roaring wood fire and heat pump in the main living area and diesel central heating throughout the house, as well as under floor heating in the bathrooms. This is no old fashioned house!
With 3 double rooms and a fourth room upstairs with two single beds, there is plenty of room and privacy for 8 people. We hope you will sleep soundly on our new luxurious beds with high quality european linen. Soft fluffy dressing gowns are provided for all, electric blankets as well as extra wool blankets are also available.
The main living area is the heart of the house but if you wish for solitude there is the separate turret room which contains an extensive library and impressive sound system to link with your own music.
The upstairs room houses an apple computer on which you can play a selection of classic DVDs if you wish.
You are welcome to use the laundry, washing powder is provided as well as a dryer or outside rotary line.
With a deep veranda around 2 sides of the house there is always shelter from the all day sun to relax in.
Outside on the patio is table and seating for 10 and an excellent beefeater BBQ and rotisserie, we only ask you to please leave it as you find it.
We encourage you to explore this stunning area of New Zealand and provide picnic basket and chairs as well as a portable gas webber BBQ. Try a spot of fishing on the lakes and have fresh bbq fish for your tea, but maybe take some burgers just in case!

You will be provided with a key to the house on arrival, and there is ample parking in front of the house.
