Welcome to a comfortable basement studio close to city center, parks, restaurants, cafes, and great Portland dining. Public transport is less than a block away.
The apartment is great for couples and young families, with a kitchenette and folding crib. Solo adventurers will welcome the comfortable furniture and space to spread out. Business travelers will appreciate the office desk and wifi. With a private entrance, and parking available in the driveway, what isn't there to like?
You’ll love this large studio apartment's open floor plan, privacy, and amenities. The country-cottage ambiance and the comfy beds are welcoming after travels. Decorated with professional photographs of Oregon's beautiful landscapes, including mountains, cities, coasts, and rivers, it feels like a home away from home. Books on Portland's sights and history will prepare you for your Portland vacation.
For the business traveler, there is a desk and free wifi.
For families I have a fold-up crib available, and children's games, books, and puzzles.

Atención a los huéspedes
I am usually here to greet guests, unless we make other arrangements. I am happy to help with advice about the city (I've lived here for forty years!) and the neighborhood (parks, city walks, cafes, restaurants).
I have a busy freelance life, so I'm in and out. Knock if you have a question!

Landscaping is a work in progress. After a full remodel, the house and apartment have new . . . everything. The yard is next, so that's what I'm working on now.
The basement is lovely and cool in the summer with heaters and electric blankets for winter months. The layout of the basement requires open access between the bedroom and livingroom but curtains offer privacy if needed.

- Quiet hours are 10PM to 7AM. I live upstairs and the floor squeaks in certain places, but mostly over the kitchenette. No candles or incense, please. Please park in the driveway and enter in the back (your private entrance).
I grew up overseas, in Ethiopia, went back overseas to work as a teacher, and lived in Ethiopia, Kenya and South Sudan. I speak one of Ethiopia's national languages. I love to travel, I love cross-cultural experiences. I meditate daily. I journal. I look every day for events and beauty that are beyond what I have asked or imagined.
