Ockhams Farm in the Garden of England, an area of outstanding natural beauty on the High Weald close to Hever Castle, Penshurst, Chartwell, Lingfield and Gatwick. Located a mile from the main road and approached along an oak lined drive and bridge between trout stocked lakes.
The old, but warm and comfortable oast house, is approached by a long drive with lakes either side. Wonderful walks are enjoyed in the woods, but equally the room features stone from the sandstone quarry at the bottom of the drive. Although independent, there is plenty of room to have breakfast either in your room or the adjoining kitchen/dining room. The fridge freezer will contain orange juice and milk, and croissants, bread, butter and jams are available. Plus, of course, coffee and tea.
Disponible para huéspedes
Guests are welcome to enjoy the beauty of the lakes, the bluebells in the woods (in the Spring) many deer, ducks, swans and one little cygnet, sheep and lamb in the Spring and all the nearby attractions previously mentioned.
Atención a los huéspedes
As this is a working farm, there are people around to offer help and guidance if needed. However, there is also a map with pubs and places to eat and of interest in the Oast.
Otros aspectos destacables
Parking is easy and access to the Oast equally so.
- Please enjoy the home but be thoughtful towards possible other guests and others who live nearby.
