We had a wonderful 5 night stay in this beautiful house. From the warm welcome from the hosts (late at night), with a homemade cake, fridge full of local fruit and delicacies and even thoughtful provided milk and yoghurt for our kids breakfast the next day as we arrived so late. The pictures on the Airbnb don't quite do justice to the magnificent view of this idyllic remote village in Crete. The house is well positioned for both view and beach and is modern and stocked with everything you may need from beach umbrellas and coolers to games and cards. The host was very efficient with communication and the warmth and generosity of the welcome set the stage for a wonderful family holiday. Thanks Nikos and family! Ps: if arriving at night don't blindly follow (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps through the village of Harakas on the way, it gets completely lost in the narrow streets and you could get a little lost. Rather turn off the navigation and follow the map the old fashioned way to beautiful Tries Ekklisies!

The house is very beautiful and comfortable and the family of Nikos is extremely friendly. We spent four days really enjoying our stay in this tiny village but, differently from our expectations, we found the village in a very "bad shape" in contrast with the charme of this remote and isolated location.

My family stayed at Nikos beautiful home for nine glorious days. It was a quiet, relaxing holiday for four adults and two young children. The home was beautifully furnished with superb linen, towels, so fresh and meticulously clean. Nikos family gave us a very warm welcome, Hannah baked a welcome cake and biscuits, we felt overwhelmed with their generosity. Nikos was quick to respond to any queries we had, we appreciated that. We all left refreshed and thankful for our time spent in such a beautiful village, it was very special! My family would recommend Nikos home as a great place to get away and enjoy the ambience!

The house is as described, charming, comfortable and welcoming, decorated with attention to details and very quiet. The village is nestled in a beautiful bay at the foot of the picturesque, arid Asterousia mountains. The beach is a few minutes walk away. With a little more walking one gets to lovely secluded stretches of beach. The house is full of charming areas in which to sit and enjoy the open view over the sea. The welcome from Nikos's mum was very friendly: there was even a cake waiting for us and their own wine!

We (family, 2 boys 9 & 11yrs) stayed in Nikolas in May only for 4 nights but it was one of the best family holidays ever!! The house itself is huge and newly renovated with great attention to detail and style. Its located in the perfect village spot, overlooking the little bay and with ocean views from most rooms. Two lovey and large balconies were used for relaxing and enjoying our evening drinks. The kitchen/living room is amazing and we spend most of the time -if in the house - there all together ,) Everything was super clean, we had plenty of towels etc. The owners Nikolas and his mother Anna welcomed us in the warmest possible way to explain the basic house functions and gave great recommendations for dinning, beaches etc. The fridge was stuffed with local cheese, tomatoes, fruits, Raki and so much more, we couldn't even try everything. We followed their recommendations and visited both beaches to the left and right of the village (each 2 Min drive) and found that we were always the only people at those beaches. We all fell in love with the beautiful beach east of the village and enjoyed sunbathing, snorkling, jumping of the cliffs and more. We had never seen ocean water as clear as here (and we stayed 10 years on various tropical islands!). All evenings we walked (1 Min) down to the village bay where there are several little tavernas. Choose 'Vagelis' and you will be blown aways by the cooking skills of this chef. Once you walk in, you will be informed and shown the options for today. We had (freshly caught) fish, octopus, then lamb, beef among others - all yummy and not to forget, try the greek salat and omelette too ,) We tried to visit the famous hippie beach Matala one day but after arriving at the super crowded parking spot, the hole family decided to drive all the ways back 1,5hrs. so we can be at what we already called 'our private beach'. We all fell in love with the little isolated but still original Greek fishing village and will definitely come back! Many thanks for the pleasant stay. Hope to be back again soon(URL HIDDEN)
