Surprisingly disappointed. I can't believe that this place have 5 stars rating, maybe is because of the value? If you're a budget traveler this might work for you but with all these issues I would spend a little bit more for better experience. Long review but worth reading before booking.
- Parking - being that this place is huge if you stay on a busy day, like we did, you will have a problem parking. You're instructed to park only in front of the house, parking in front of the neighbors could result your car being towed at your own expense.
- The bed - We stayed in, room 7, inside our room there's a queen size "bed". This so call "bed" feels like a box spring, that is covered by a very thin comforter. When you're laying on this thing you can feel every springs, terrible. I'm not sure if every rooms is like this but definitely room 7 did. My gf woke up with major back pain because of this "bed".
- Bathroom - Since it's shared, this bathroom have two entrances, yours and your neighbor's. When you use the bathroom you will have to remember to lock your neighbor's door from within and when you leave you must remember to unlock your neighbor's door, otherwise you will lock them out. This is so inconvenience in so many ways I don't even know where to began. If your have a kind and considerate neighbor you're probably be fine but if you have a messy/forgetful/inconsiderate neighbor you're in trouble. We were locked out of our bathroom for a day, we reminded our neighbor and it happen again the next day. We were also woken up by random showering late at night or super early.
- The toilet - It is incredibly loud, I'm not sure what it's doing but every now and then it would make this loud noise, imagine this happening in the middle of the night while you're trying to sleep.
In conclusion, I'm taking time out to write this review because I want all travelers to be fully aware of all the possible variables. Mike can't control how many people are there while you're there, if they're good neighbors or not but he can most certainly make things more transparent up front. Too many variables, book at your own risk.
