Have a great stay
Hello there, This is a quick note to introduce myself. My name is Megan. I have been hosting for almost a year now. I started "freshening" up the cottage about a year ago to accommodate my large family for Christmas. The cottage is my pet project now. I love adding a little more to it every week. I love a relaxed beachie vibe with a touch of Hampton's chic. We live on the coast line of Port Philip Bay. The quirky beach boxes and the wild life walk just metres away make for a very happy vibe. We love the local wild life. In our garden we have a Kookaburra family of four who live in the large gum tree. The Brewer's Blackbirds are my particular favourite wild pets. They nest in my studio making there way in and out through a small broken window. A Blackbird I watched being fed from a chic is now nesting over my latest splashing on canvas. A formidable art critic.
This spring the birds and Australian wild life have been partially busy. Persuading the birds not to nest on the balcony of the cottage and having to ask the RingTailed Possums to move out of the roof and back into he hedges if you will please. They are cute but not very good tenants. Quick foam to block the entrance into the roof and we where back in business.
If you do hear tap tap tap on the tin roof, grab a tourch and pop outside. They are the cuitest of the local Marsupials. During the day you will hear the conversation of nature taking place all around you. Tchup, Chuk chuk chuk, conk-la-ree. Quarrelling females chatter at each other kit-tit-tit-tit call. The loud and distinctive call of the Laughing Kookaburras. We host small groups of various species of rossellas and king parrots who feed on the blossoming Australian Natives.
We are arguably in the best position of all the AirBnB in our area.
I hope you consider renting our cottage. I will do my very best to ensure you enjoy your stay.
