Mountain Lodge is situated on a hill top high above the historic Gwrych Castle, a 19th century Gothic folly in Abergele, North Wales. It is a truly unique setting surrounded by woodland and with panoramic views of the Carneddau mountain range in the Snowdonia National Park.
We have two shepherds huts (the bedrooms) with an adjacent Stable and Barn for your daytime accommodation.
The shepherds hut with a door on the side sleeps 4 with a bunk bed at one end and a double bed at the other. The ‘pointed’ roof hut has a double bed and sleeps 2. Both have woodburning stoves and electrics (lights and sockets).
The renovated Stable is right next to the shepherds huts and has all the facilities that you will need during your stay and is for your exclusive use. It has a heated shower room with toilet, washbasin, wood burning stove with a large top plate which you can use for cooking or heating food, large sofa, kitchen area with fridge, kettle, cutlery, utensils etc.
The fridge is stocked with fresh milk, water, butter and locally produced yoghurts.
A door leads from the Stable into a Barn which has an open area for you to sit and enjoy the views.
The huts are available for booking all year round.

Always on hand to advise on great places to visit and eat out. We also have plenty of maps and guides on walks and cycling routes.
Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times as we have sheep on the property.
