After you left, we asked the next few guests their thoughts in regards to what you mentioned about the apartment above. To the contrary, these guests told us that everything was perfect, which is consistent with what was mentioned by guests who have stayed before your stay. So we found ourselves a bit confused - until we recalled something we'd forgotten: the day before you left, new furniture was being installed throughout the apartment above the one you had been staying in, which we occupy as well. We are guessing, being you were in the apartment during the middle of the days during your stay, all that moving of heavy furniture and bulky boxes was the noise you heard and we are genuinely sorry we didn't let you know this was going to occur. We instructed the movers to be mindful of noise because of the apartment below - just as we emphasize with all guests staying in that apartment. We cannot stress enough how important it is for our guests to enjoy the quietness of our home. We always ask guests: If there is ever an issue of any sort, please send us a quick text at anytime of day or night and we’ll be happy to solve the issue - immediately. We encourage guests not to be shy with any issues, as there is often solutions we as hosts have visibility to that our guests may not be aware of. That said, even though this sort of concern with noise has not been an issue for our guests before, in an effort to guarantee every single one of our guests experience a place that is quiet, peaceful and relaxing, we have decided to add new carpet and extra thick padding to the apartment above this one - to make certain even an isolated incident like this never occurs to future guests.
