Water lovers alert! Chosen by the Food Network to film a segment of "Trisha's Southern Kitchen"!! Luxury camping 45 minutes from Nashville with everything - just bring food and clothing. A spacious cabin tent faces the water in a scenic country setting. Sleep on memory foam beds with matching decor. People are loving the outdoor shower! While glamping, enjoy kayaks, bicycles, swimming, hiking and fishing. Couples, solo adventurers with camping experience, and families with kids age 8+.
The breeze carries the scent of the water through the tent. It's not far from the city but far enough in the country that there's no light pollution providing a montage of stars and moonlight shimmering on the water. Fish and swim right where you glamp. It just doesn't get any better than this beautiful little piece of heaven right on the water. Tent accommodates one double bed, two single beds or one double and one single.

Owner lives in home on property - not close enough to tents to hear each other but a text or phone call will do. Owner keeps farmers hours so no problem with a call or text first thing in the morning until 7:30 p.m.
Important note: Please do not approach the house during the night. The dogs are social butterflies during the day but guard the owner's home at night. If the owner is needed during the night, please drive your car to the house and beep the horn. Thank you in advance!

I opened my glampsite on April 1, 2017. Thank you to my five star guests that helped me earn the AirBnB Superhost status! I promise to work just as hard and provide you with first class service and look forward to hearing how much you enjoyed your stay and the fun memories you take home. Now on to the business stuff...
Just like regular campgrounds, the facilities (shower and portapotty) are a short walk from the tent. |||
Things to bring if desired: Sugar, coffee (coffee pot provided), crushed ice (blocks of ice provided for cooler) |||
FREE use of kayaks, fishing poles and tackle and bicycles available during your stay. |||
This is a real country farm with dogs that are more than pets - they have jobs. The German Shepherd's job is keeping critters out of the yard. Outdoorsy people are great at training their dogs to accompany them at places like camping but my dogs are socialized to people but not to other dogs. Sorry!
Maximum weight limit of each bed is 300 lb. Most of the kayaks have a 250 weight limit but two of them have a 300 lb. weight limit. Exceeding the weight limit results in bending the metal day bed and flipping or sinking the kayaks.

I've been to Germany researching a book, Hawaii just for fun, Ireland to see if it really is as green as the pictures and Japan with the Air Force but none compare with my little piece of heaven on the water in Castalian Springs, TN. I'm a camper and avid kayaker and an ACA Certified Kayak Instructor; I've taught over 1,000 new paddlers over the past eight years ages 8-74 - what a thrill that so many are out enjoying the rivers and the outdoors! I'm a published author with articles in multiple newspapers and magazines and books: "Quiet Water Kayaking - A Beginner's Guide" and "Rudolf Virchow - Four Lives in One," and "Chicken Soup for the Soul - Dreams and the Unimaginable" published September 2017.
You are invited to share my little piece of heaven in the country on the water. After glamping at Come As You Are Camping, you'll feel pampered and leave refreshed. You are welcome to sign up for a kayak lesson at an additional charge; to RSVP go to Meetup and search for "Nashville Kayak Lessons." I host private lessons of no more than five per class.
No one at the end of their life, says, "I wish I'd watched more TV." My goal is to move folks from out behind TV's, away from keyboards; to disconnect from technology and connect with nature; be participants and not spectators. At the end of our lives, wouldn't it be great to feel like saying, "God, can I do it again?"
