The breeze carries the scent of the water through the tent. It's not far from the city but far enough in the country that there's no light pollution providing a montage of stars and moonlight shimmering on the water. Fish and swim right where you glamp. It just doesn't get any better than this beautiful little piece of heaven right on the water. Tent accommodates one double bed, two single beds or one double and one single.

Disponible para huéspedes

You are welcome to park where you camp or leave your car at the parking area nearby.

Atención a los huéspedes

Owner lives in home on property - not close enough to tents to hear each other but a text or phone call will do. Owner keeps farmers hours so no problem with a call or text first thing in the morning until 7:30 p.m.

Important note: Please do not approach the house during the night. The dogs are social butterflies during the day but guard the owner's home at night. If the owner is needed during the night, please drive your car to the house and beep the horn. Thank you in advance!

I opened my glampsite on April 1, 2017. Thank you to my five star guests that helped me earn the AirBnB Superhost status! I promise to work just as hard and provide you with first class service and look forward to hearing how much you enjoyed your stay and the fun memories you take home. Now on to the business stuff...

Just like regular campgrounds, the facilities (shower and portapotty) are a short walk from the tent. |||

Things to bring if desired: Sugar, coffee (coffee pot provided), crushed ice (blocks of ice provided for cooler) |||

FREE use of kayaks, fishing poles and tackle and bicycles available during your stay. |||

This is a real country farm with dogs that are more than pets - they have jobs. The German Shepherd's job is keeping critters out of the yard. Outdoorsy people are great at training their dogs to accompany them at places like camping but my dogs are socialized to people but not to other dogs. Sorry!

Maximum weight limit of each bed is 300 lb. Most of the kayaks have a 250 weight limit but two of them have a 300 lb. weight limit. Exceeding the weight limit results in bending the metal day bed and flipping or sinking the kayaks.

Leslie's place was absolutely wonderful. We were able to go to a concert in Nashville and drive back and enjoy the quiet of the outdoors while sitting by a fire. My boyfriend and I loved the spot, the memory foam mattress, the peculator coffee we made, and kayaking to our breakfast! Everything Leslie did was so appreciated and she was a lovely host. We can't wait to come back!!

Many perks were recieved at our stay - a warm welcome, open communication and serene lakeside privacy. Leslie was such an approachable sweet soul. After we were settled in our campsite, she gave us a tour and answered all our questions and more. From then on, the day was open to enjoy the view and use given ammeneties, which covered all we would ever need our want - such as a free campfire with included firewood, kayak use with safety life jackets, a public porterjohn, a kitchen with cooking essentials and an outdoor shower with shower essentials like shampoo and towels. We left happy and taken care of. Thank you Leslie! :)

Thank you for making my place a part of your family's road trip. Y'all planned to leave at 9 a.m. for a tour of Nashville but what a compliment when y'all extended that time and left at noon. Thank you for the photos that I'll post on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN). You're welcome back anytime!

Leslie is an amazing host. She was willing to answer any questions we had and help in every way possible. The tents were big and the beds were very comfy. She provided everything thing from kayaks, to firewood to cooking utensils making our stay as easy as possible. Her dogs were also very friendly. Would definitely stay here again of i am ever in the area again.

When I set out to create a special getaway for my boyfriend's birthday weekend, I had no idea how special it could be until we arrived at Leslie's property. Leading up to our arrival, Leslie was so helpful in answering my every little question about what exactly to pack. Part of me couldn't quite believe "just bring your toothbrush and toothpaste"--but that's almost nearly true. We brought a bag of ice, a cooler with food, a bottle of wine,, drinking water our hammock, our speaker for music, swimsuits, light sweaters, t-shirts, sunglasses and water shoes. Literally, you couldn't need anything else. Some of what was provided that blew us away and made us feel so taken care of: head lamps, LED lanterns, citronella candle, bug spray, paper towels, full kitchen set up, grill with tools, dish washing setup, tackle box and fishing tools, fresh linens and pillows (the bed is amazing), shampoo/conditioner/soap (the shower is so wonderful), and even bath towels and washcloths. You absolutely must plan to kayak while you are staying with Leslie. We kayaked out to the Shady Cove Marina which was a quick 20 minute leisurely ride. Lucy's Tiki Bar and Restaurant was there where we had a solid meal (try the shrimp jammers!), a cold beer, and got more ice to take back to camp. Tips for Lucy's: Closed Mondays, closing time varies daily--depending on crowd size, and CASH only--so come prepared or be ready to pay a fee for independent ATM on-site. Make a point of going back out on the river, in the kayaks, at sunset. This experience was one of the most magical hours of my life. We felt completely alone and surrounded by a sunset that you have to see to believe in a 360 degree view from the middle of the river. Leslie truly lived up to her Super Host title throughout our trip--answering a question or two and even bringing us a sweet treat, at one point, that she happened to have on hand. To be clear, we felt that we were given our private space. The property is large enough that Leslie is present but in no way intruding upon your privacy. The pups were great co-hosts and Bernie, in particular, made himself at home a few times with us. He was the perfect gentleman. Don't wait to have your slice of Leslie's paradise. You won't regret it. We will absolutely be back!

Thank you so much for your kind, complete and thoughtful review. It's one thing for me to say "everything's provided" but it's so much sweeter for others to read it from someone who's been here. Can't wait for you guys to return!

Leslie is an incredible hostess and her property is even better! We loved taking out the kayaks and hiking around the area too. And to top it all off we enjoyed a river side camp fire with all of the wood ready and provided by the amazing Leslie. Highly recommend!!!

We loved our stay at Leslie's campsite! It really is "come-as-you-are," there are even spices and oil available if you want to grill. If you live in the Nashville area, I would 100% recommend the easy 45 minute drive to this oasis. The fishing (even though we didn't catch anything) and the outdoor shower were highlights. The inside of the tent was spotless and incredibly comfortable. Thanks Leslie!

I've been to Germany researching a book, Hawaii just for fun, Ireland to see if it really is as green as the pictures and Japan with the Air Force but none compare with my little piece of heaven on the water in Castalian Springs, TN. I'm a camper and avid kayaker and an ACA Certified Kayak Instructor; I've taught over 1,000 new paddlers over the past eight years ages 8-74 - what a thrill that so many are out enjoying the rivers and the outdoors! I'm a published author with articles in multiple newspapers and magazines and books: "Quiet Water Kayaking - A Beginner's Guide" and "Rudolf Virchow - Four Lives in One," and "Chicken Soup for the Soul - Dreams and the Unimaginable" published September 2017.

You are invited to share my little piece of heaven in the country on the water. After glamping at Come As You Are Camping, you'll feel pampered and leave refreshed. You are welcome to sign up for a kayak lesson at an additional charge; to RSVP go to Meetup and search for "Nashville Kayak Lessons." I host private lessons of no more than five per class.

No one at the end of their life, says, "I wish I'd watched more TV." My goal is to move folks from out behind TV's, away from keyboards; to disconnect from technology and connect with nature; be participants and not spectators. At the end of our lives, wouldn't it be great to feel like saying, "God, can I do it again?"
