Unique, exclusive and something special. Amidst 60 acres of private grounds, and home to Melford Green alpacas, this 13th Century house offers luxury Bed & Breakfast accommodation with a boutique hotel feel. Grand, thoughtfully decorated rooms, some with four-poster beds and copper baths, capture the Old Hall’s rich history and provide a truly relaxing country retreat. Darsham Old Hall is ideally situated between Southwold and Aldeburgh and close to Suffolk's heritage coast, Minsmere and Snape.
Hadingham is a most charming room, with a calming, fresh colour scheme and a high ceiling with oak-beams and antique-gold chandeliers. The Hadingham family were one of a number of farming families that lived in the Old Hall during the 19th & 20th Century. The locally hand-made double (4’6”) wrought iron and brass bedstead, “arts and crafts” style wallpaper and antique gold candelabras evoke this Victorian age.
Whilst being our cosiest room it has all the modern-day comforts to ensure a most comfortable stay: Bose-system, TV, tea & coffee-making facilities, access to fridge, hair-drier, Egyptian cotton bed-linen and hypoallergenic pillows and alpaca duvet. The spacious and bright en-suite has a luxuriously large bath for relaxation & bubbles!
Hadingham is perfect for those who prefer under-stated luxury and home-comforts.
Total area of this room is approximately 20 square metres.
