Great location, restaurants, bars, stores are within walking distance. If you don't mind taking a longer walk, you can even walk to the water side. Paul was very helpful with his quick responses and provided everything we needed. Place was comfortable, clean and secure. Check-in was painless, dog was friendly without jumping on us. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in the area.

We really enjoyed our stay at Paul's place. He is a great host, extremely helpful, communicative and attentive. We wouldn't think of staying anywhere else in the future and we're really glad to have found this place! Thanks Paul!

Stayed at Paul's house for little over a month while I was working in Phnom Penh. I had a great time and it felt a little like home while I was there. The kitchen was fully stocked and usable which helped me out a lot as I used to cook a lot at home. The tuk tuks being right outside the gate as well was super helpful in getting around the city and I honestly preferred riding with them because they were honest and never tried to rip me off, like other tuk tuk drivers in the city. All in all, it was a great expierence and for the first time being in Cambodia, I really enjoyed it and staying at Paul's helped ease the transition quite a bit.

Location, location, location! You can walk anywhere from Paul's place, from Nataraj Yoga to the Royal Palace, abundance of restaurants, boat cruise dock, Genocide Museum, night market, you name it. It is a miraculously quiet street but once you are half a block away the business and lively atmosphere start. I truly couldn't have asked for a better starting point for my adventures. One of my highlights every morning was the super friendly tuk tuk drivers Paul introduced me to upon my arrival. If I needed a ride, they were there (and spoke English). My Giant Ibis Bus from Siem Reap arrived an hour early and I appreciated Paul being there to meet me anyways and let me in. The Wi-Fi is strong in the living room but not in the bedroom but that's not a problem. AC is strong and that's important!

This has been one of the strangest airbnb experiences I've ever had. I can't say if it was good or bad. Communication with the host was always easy and fast. Checking in was also without any problems. The maid, Syneth, was there to help me check in. Syneth is great. She is super helpful and tries her best to solve whatever problems may arise. After checking in, I found a bad odour in my room. I was told it was because it had rained a lot the day before - something to do with the drains. I also found out that there was no hot water in the washroom. The wifi signal in the room was weak at best; mostly there was no signal at all in the room. At night time, I discovered a line of ants in my bed. I let Paul know in the morning, and everything, with the exception of hot water and wifi, was taken care of. On the third day my washroom was flooded and as a result the host had to shut down water in the washroom. On the fourth day, I finally switched to another room with hot water. Surely, the host was apologetic and tried to take care of the problems, but I think the problems should have been addressed before I checked in. On Saturday night, the host had a party in the house with loud music. I asked one of the guests if they could lower the music but that did not work. I sent a message to the host via airbnb and got a reply the next morning, apologizing for the loud music. The music did stop before 10pm, but I believe if you have a guest (especially an airbnb guest) in your house, you ought to be respectful of their space. For a room in Phnom Penh, I wouldn't call this place particularly cheap. The host has good reviews on airbnb and that was the main reason I booked it. I believe, the problems that I had at this listing were more of an exception than the norm. Having said that, I would not stay here again and I would not recommend this place to my friends.

I am very sorry to read your review as I do take a lot of pride in caring for my guest and you are my first bad review, unfortunately Phnom Penh and most of Cambodia has a severe flood warning and when the city was totally flooded prior to your arrival , including my home their is really nothing I could do about that, hence a smell from the drain as the water drained away, again the issue with an exploded water heater , which I repaired caused a pipe to burst from the wall after the repair , again this I could not have predicted or anticipated. I do admit the one and only time this year I have a guest stopping with me from Australia who I have not seen for 10 years we did play music on a Saturday evening from 8 to perhaps 10.30pm . I am pleased you were happy you felt Syneth looked after your needs and kept your room clean. I am unsure if she washed and ironed for you and cooked ? Which I think is very good value for money as additional extras. My house is old with thick walls, and the back room does not receive the strongest wifi although the wifi in your private lounge dining area is excellent
