Situated on a majestic promontory with amazing views of the Adriatic Sea, this cluster of 15th century buildings create a compound of total privacy. Relax in the olive groves or wander down to a private swimming point, if you are looking for a secluded timeless world, you can find no better.

El lugar

The house is a restoration of a cluster of 15th century stone ruins. While preserving as many original surfaces as possible, the modern furnishings and amenities give the space a warm and comfortable atmosphere. The view stretches from the beautiful harbor and the 15th century monastery across the Adriatic Sea to the islands of Mijët and Sipan and lastly the mainland with its backdrop of mountains.
The gardens include olives, an orange garden, lemon and vegetable garden and chickens. A meandering path through the garden stretches down to the water. There are wonderful rocks to swim from or you can dip in a private splash pool below the main terrace.
Bedrooms are all air conditioned.

Disponible para huéspedes

Guest can feel totally private in the entire compound, safe behind stone walls and solid gates. There are several paths that can take you to other points of interest on the island, or directly down to the harbor where most of the activity occurs. On this side of the island there are many rock beaches to swim from or two sandy beaches one in the village and one on the other side of the island.

Villa San Spirito is one of the most magical places we’ve ever visited. Davor and Dragana, our hosts, were quick in communicating prior to our arrival, made arrangements for our transport, and assisted very kindly and promptly during our stay. There are no cars on the island, but we easily navigated around with the help of Davor and Dragana who looked after us and were so thoughtful and kind. The place is so beautiful you might not want to leave it, but we were able to make daytrips to Dubrovnik and nearby islands with the help from our hosts. The island is a small paradise, with restaurants that serve incredibly delicious local fare (we never got tired of freshly caught fish), small fresh vegetable stands, and warm and welcoming local people. The 400(!)-year old house is itself incredible, elegantly restored and tastefully decorated with amazing interior décor, and a patio overlooking the sea where we ate breakfast every morning. The air is fragrant like nowhere else we’ve been – from the citrus and olive trees and rosemary bushes surrounding the house and pine trees everywhere on the island. Truly magical. We cannot wait to go back and highly, highly recommend staying at the Villa.
