Great place to stay in Mumbles. Just as advertised. Family trip with 4 teenagers so we needed good space (and WiFi!) and this house fit the bill! Thank you Bron!

This is a lovely big house that's walking distance into Mumbles town centre. A group of six of us stayed here for a week and had a great time. Bron and Ges were perfect hosts, quick to respond to any queries and they even threw in some vouchers for the Mumbles Ale House, which they also own. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent. As described. Walking distance into mumbles. You will have a great time here as a base for the gower Swansea valleys and mumbles.

The house was spacious so that all 6 adults and two children had plenty of room to meet, dine and find their own quiet place. The house itself was very interesting with its original Victorian, or was it Edwardian features, with lots of modern decor to make it attractive. The lounge was comfortable with a big flat screen TV. The kitchen and dining room had all the facilities required to cook and dine together and there was a washing machine, etc in a room off the kitchen. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. There wasn't a garden because the houses back onto a steep hillside, but there was a patio up a flight of stone steps. The patio had a table, chairs and a sun lounger, so we could all sit together. The house was in a very good location with around a 10 minutes walk to the Mumbles seafront, passing lots of excellent shops for buying food, newspapers and gifts, and places to eat and drink. A 10 minute walk in the opposite direction up hill arrived at the Welsh coastal path, and beautiful coastline and beaches. Rhossili Beach, and other beautiful bays were only about half an hour's drive away. Swansea was about a fifteen minutes drive, with its parks and indoor facilities for kids on wet days. There was useful off-road parking for two cars outside the house, a bit of a squeeze at first, and getting out onto the road required care. We discovered the Langland Bay Brasserie up the hill about a 20 minute walk away, a superb restaurant on the beachfront of Langland Bay. It has a verandah looking out onto the beach and sea, and you can sit under the parasols in the open air, enjoying a drink or a meal. Try a breakfast there on your last day. It was reassuring that Bron lived next door and she was always very friendly and helpful.

Fantastic large, beautifully decorated house in walking distance to beaches, & central Mumbles. Bronwen was great, answering (many) questions before & during the trip. She thoughtfully let us park at hers when they weren't there (as we had too many cars). She provided necessities including bread/milk/biscuits. The house was perfect to accommodate 9 of us, including 4 kids. It is well thought out, with kids toys, high chair,stair gate, buckets & spades etc. The house felt very spacious & worked really well for our uni reunion plus kids. Everyone had a great time & we hope to return again.

We are Gerrard and Bronwen Armor (Ges & Bron). We live in Mumbles next door to our holiday property, the Town House, which we are delighted to offer to the Airbnb community.

We've been Airbnb guests many times over the years and dipped our toes in the hosting water for a couple of months in 2016 when for just two months we made our own home available while renovating the property next door (now the Town House).

Having listened to feedback from that experience (our early reviews relate to our home which is no longer available), we're confident we know what's needed to make for a truly great Airbnb experience. We've focused on the welcome our guests receive as well as the full comfort and cosy factor (fluffy towels and lovely bedding and hot showers) and of course giving guests privacy so that the house feels like their home from home. We have a key box system for ease of check in for example.

As seasoned Airbnbers, we know it's a great concept that requires mutual respect. We enjoy meeting new people of all cultures and countries and Ges in particular has a passion for languages having travelled extensively. In fact we like people so much that we decided to take over one of Mumbles' most popular village pubs, the Mumbles Ale House. It's always a pleasure welcoming Town House guests into our little ale house which opened in 2014 as Wales' first micro pub. It attracts a great mix of locals and visitors alike who all like a good pint - the chat is optional.

Airbnb suggests when writing this profile that we include our life motto. I think we can safely say that in our case it's 'oh go on then'.
