Honestly I am very sad and disappointed for what happened. As you know, as soon as I heard from you with the bed bugs complain, I contacted right away the Airbnb customer service and with their support I contacted an extermination service (Anticimex) to make an inspection. As expected (bed bugs are extremely rare in Italy, plus we had a friend sleeping in the house only a few nights before), the extermination service reported NO BED BUGS and the inspection revealed perfect conditions of the house. As a result, I got the permission of Airbnb to keep hosting my guests rightaway, and my subsequent guests slept peacefully in the apartment for the following week.
I would have appreciated a more respectful behavior on your side as I personally put a lot of effort to make my guests feel comfortable and enjoy their stay. With more effective communication on your side, this issue could have been resolved easily and I could have avoided the stress resulting from an unfair and undeserved accusation.
