The sun-room opens onto the large wooden deck from which you can watch whales and dolphins dance as the sun rises over the ocean. When the South Easter blows, make a fire in one of two fireplaces , choose a book from our library or a board-game, listen to the trains go by or write that book you've been dreaming about. Savor the ocean, while enjoying meals with friends and family at the large dining room table or in peaceful solitude in the sunroom. The kitchen has an espresso machine for your morning coffee and you can stroll down the road for delicious early breakfasts. Longer stays and off peak stays are at discounted rates

Otros aspectos destacables
There is direct safe access from our single garage into the apartment There is an additional parking space within the perimeter of the security gate. There are security beams around the house and a very responsive security company, who provide regular patrols. The house is on the Main Road that runs from Muizenberg to Fishoek and there is a lot of traffic during peak periods. The thick solid walls help minimise the noise. Visitors often comment on the peace they experience when they step inside and we hope that this will also be your experience.
We welcome hosting retreats, workshops and special events of small groups of people. The large wooden deck and large rectangular matted area in the back garden are ideal for small yoga or tai chi classes. Please message us directly about events. Please supervise children when they are on the deck.
I am a 61 year old South African lawyer living in Johannesburg with my wife Pregs, a human rights activist and writer. We were both involved in the struggle against apartheid and continue to contribute to human rights in SA and in other countries. Our youngest son Saien is 17 while our two older children Parusha and Yashodan have flown the nest although we still spend time relaxing together. We lived for 5 years in our lovely home in Kalk Bay, before renting it, while living in Johannesburg. During January and February, we put our house on Airbnb with Edith Pillay as our co-host. At that time we made a decision to return to Cape Town to allow Pregs to access medical treatment for a rare cancer she has been diagnosed with. Since July, we have been living in Rosebank close to our son's school and will be letting out the downstairs portion of our house as a self-contained holiday flat.
