Thank you for your feedback and we are pleased to see from your comments here and in our guest book that overall you had a wonderful stay.
We would like to take this opportunity to address a couple of the things you have suggested. As you pointed out, there is a possibility that over the course of a guests stay they may need to replenish certain disposable items. We try to ensure there is always an adequate supply of toilet paper, hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher tablets, jet dry, kitchen towel, tea towels, bath mats, food wrap, foil, Ziploc bags, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar, flour, salt and pepper amongst a few other dry goods. In addition, 2 propane tanks are provided for the BBQ, one of which is always full. We feel that this should be sufficient for people to be set up with for their first few days at a cottage, this has also been our experience on many cottage stays.
With regards to clothing space, we take on board what you say regarding drawer space, drawers are available in two of the bedrooms. A couple of the bedrooms could do with these being added. All of the bedrooms have closet space with a minimum of 10 hangers in each closet, except for the kids bunk room.
We have explored providing linens and towels etc and due to allergies specific to guests, we have found this not to be a viable option. However, we may reconsider this in the future if demand requires.
It is unfortunate that your party experienced very stormy weather the week that you were staying at Gustin House. Unfortunately, as with most big lakes, this will churn up debris along the waters edge and it does take time for this to clear completely.
Thank you for your comments, we are always looking for ways to improve our guests experience. We look forward to hosting you and your family again in the future.
Claire and Danny
