The Magical World on the Island of Islesboro, outside your door! The auto ferry, Margaret Chase Smith from Lincolnville takes you across beautiful Penobscot Bay.
A stunning location for your waterfront vacation to return to year after year. Make way for the ducks as they waddle up the path from the beach to the neighbors house for breakfast. Small tidal beach on the property. Surrounded by nature and birds. A short walk to tennis courts with playground, library and historical society!

El alojamiento
The East Bay pops into your cottage from the deck to the living area and bedrooms.
The kitchen is fully equipped for real cooking and if you are missing something we may have it at our house.
This house is available by the week or month .

Acceso para huéspedes
The entire home is yours. There is a nice deck on the waterside to watch the eagles, hear the loons call or the geese and ducks talking to you.
There is little to no light pollution at the cottage. Excellent spot to star gaze.

Otros aspectos destacables
( This is for the summer season, but in the winter we still have two general stores and the Cafe) The ferry is bustling in the summer and reservations are not needed but prudent. $20 for a reservation plus your ferry fare.
Be mindful that you are coming to an island. IMPORTANT: We strongly recommend you stock up on your groceries and ice before you come. There is a fancy island market,(Closed on Sunday) a general store on the north end of the island ( Sunday 10-2) where you will able to pick up the things you forgot. A cafe at the Islesboro Community Center and The Dark Harbor Shop has ice cream, sandwiches and gifts. At the ferry you will find a take out, The Sandcastle Grill.
There are many different walking trails sponsored by the Islesboro Island Trust. Take sailing lessons at Big Tree Boating.(season ends August 18) Bring your kayak or canoe and paddle around the island.
The Schooner Bonnie Lynn is also available for charter. If you want to island hop you can charter a plane from Penobscot Island Air.

We are walking distance to library, tennis courts, playground and public beach (also a small tidal beach at the cottage) The Historical Society has art shows, talks and a fabulous museum and is a 5 minute walk up the hill . The location is ideal. We are close to the road and there is traffic. But considering you are on an island, I don't feel the amount of traffic we have comes even close to what is on the mainland.
