La Casita Escondida is a peaceful and quiet guest house, centrally located in the Monte Vista Historic District. This 500 sq. ft. stand alone structure sits behind our main house which was built in 1927, with its own private entrance. We're about 2 miles north of downtown, & just minutes away from the Pearl, SA Zoo, Museum, and walking distance to popular restaurants in neighborhood.
Our location also allows for quick access to all the major highways within the city...IH10, I35, and Hwy 281.
La Casita is perfect for one or two people, but will accommodate four. It has a comfy queen size bed in the bedroom and a full size sofa bed in the living room. There is also wireless internet access and the TV can access streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon video, etc. There is also a wall mounted air conditioner, an extra pedestal fan, and electric heaters are provided for the winter months.
The kitchen is small, and fully equipped with a gas stove, microwave, washer & dryer, refrigerator, coffee pot, tea kettle, and toaster.
Coffee, Tea, & bottled Water is provided.
Large bathroom with walk in shower and plenty of fresh towels and a hair dryer.
Plenty of storage in closet with an ironing board and iron, and linens.
A quiet, cozy reading room with a desk and reading chair.
There is a screened in porch with a bistro table & chairs, and your own outdoor space with patio chairs where you can enjoy your morning coffee, or favorite beverage.

We enjoy sharing La Casita Escondida. To make all guests feel at home away from home gives us much happiness. We love the outdoors and at times do some camping and even at times go motorcycle riding. We no longer work for a boss and are now enjoying being semi-retired.
Alicia is an avid photographer and my interests have been in technology/computers as I worked in those areas for 30 plus years.
One day we would love to spend more time traveling and taking in more of God's beautiful creation.
