How do I get there by car?
Follow the signs to Airlie Beach at the Proserpine exit.
Head past the Whitsunday shopping centre in Cannonvale.
As you go over the next hill you will see the turn off to Able Point Marina on the left at the bottom of the hill. Turn left onto Shingley Drive immediately after turning off and we are the first complex on your left.
Is there parking available?
Yes, your Apartment comes with undercover parking which is located in the first lot closes to your apartment.
When is Check IN / Check OUT?
Check-in is at 2:00pm and Checkout is at 10:00am
Late Check-out May be arranged but is subject to availability
What if I am Arriving Late?
If you know you are arriving late out, inform us as soon as possible for us to accommodate you.
How often are the apartments Serviced?
The apartment id self-contained so unlike a hotel we do not service the rooms or change linen daily.
However if you stay over 7 nights we are happy to provide extra linen for your stay.
Is there Swimming Pool?
We have TWO lovely well-maintained pools located within the resort.
The largest pool is 18m long with children’s wading area and a deeper 3m end.
The smaller pool is made up of 2 plunge pools with a small waterfall between them.
Is smoking permitted at Shingley Beach Resort?
All of Shingley Beach Resorts apartments, common areas and pools are smoke free zones. If you wish to smoke on your apartment balcony this is permitted, however we do request you close the apartment door to avoid smoke going into your apartment.
What shops are nearby?
Along the front of Shingley Beach Resort you will find PAYA-a clothing & homewards boutique, ENLIVEN- Massage & Body Centre and KABELLO- Hair & Tanning Salon.
The nearest Shopping Centre is a pleasant 15-minute walk along the waterfront boardwalk. Whitsunday Shopping Centre has a Coles Supermarket, The Reject Shop, Post Office, Banks, a newsagents and specialty stores.
Where can I eat?
A five-minute stroll along the waterfront boardwalk will take you to Barcelona’s Tapas Bar at Abell Point Marina. This is a great place to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner as you watch the boats.
Sorrento's is located at the South end of the marina and offers lovely Italian Cuisine Breakfast, lunch and dinner with stunning views.
The main street of Airlie Beach has a large variety or restaurants to dine at and is a 20-minute walk or 2-minute drive away.
How far away is public transport?
Public Buses run from Whitsunday Shopping Centre, Abel Point Marina and Airlie Main Street- all within walking distance of the resort. If you wish to book a taxi, Shingley Beach Resort can quick dial one for you at Reception.
If you are going on a day tour, many tour operators provide a free bus transfer to and from the resort.
- Terms House Rules are provided at the Property to ensure that Guests and Visitors know and comply with the specific Rules governing their permission to enter and occupy the Property.
4.1 General requirements a) Guest and Visitors must comply with all House Rules, By-Laws and instructions That is issued to you in the information booklet provided and voiced to you from the Property Manager and security services during their stay; and b) Guests must notify the Manager of any disputes or complaints from neighbours as soon as is practicable.
4.2 Noise and Residential amenity a)The occupier of a lot must not create noise likely to interfere with the peaceful enjoyment of a person lawfully on another motor the common property b) Offensive noise is prohibited and may result in termination of permission to occupy the Property, eviction, loss of rental paid and extra charges for security and other expenses which may be deducted from Security Deposit or Bond under the Terms and Conditions; and c) Guests and Visitors must not engage in anti-social behaviour and must minimise their impact upon the residential amenity of neighbours and local community.
4.3 Visitors a) Guests are responsible for ensuring the limits set on Visitor numbers which is 4 people per lot is complied with at all times; and b) Guests are responsible for ensuring that Visitors comply with these House Rules.
4.4 Gatherings or functions a) The Property is not a “party house” and any such activities are strictly prohibited; and b) Any gathering, celebration or entertainment permitted at a Property must not conflict with residential amenity and must comply with all the other requirements.
4.5 Parking a) Guests and Visitors are to comply with parking regulations and other requirements set out below and show consideration to neighbours and other vehicles; and b) Parking arrangements at the Property are as follows and must not Park a vehicle or allow a vehicle to stand on the common property permit an invitee to park a vehicle or allow a vehicle to stand in common area
4.6 Garbage and recycling a) Guests and Visitors are to dispose of garbage and recycling in accordance with the usual practice at the Property (as set out below) in the allocated bins, and excess rubbish must not be left in public or common areas; and b) Garbage and recycling arrangements at the Property are as follows: Please use the Green bins that are located out the car park area.
4.7 Security YOU MUST and are responsible of ensuring the closing and locking of all windows and doors to prevent any theft and damages to property. a) Must Contact Property Manager if there is any Theft or Damage to Property.
4.8 COMMON AREAS If you Damage any garden, building, or any of the common property of Shingley resort, you will then be charged for the whole total cost of damages
4.9 Deck and balcony areas a)NO hanging items on balcony railing. b)No jumping ,diving or throwing objects into pool from balcony.
4.10 Smoking Smoking is not permitted indoors at any time but the balcony may be used with provided ash tray. obey Smoking sign in common areas on site. a) YOU will be charged if found smoking inside the property and if any damages from smoking is made to property or the items of the unit 4.11 Pets Pets are not permitted
4.12 BBQ Please follow all the rules located on the signage at the Resorts BBQ common facilities
4.13 Damages and breakages a) Damages and breakages must be reported to the property Manager. b) You will be charged for the total amount any damages, breakages and missing property of unit.
4.14 On departure arrangements Arrangements for keys, security, dishwashing, rubbish, etc are: all keys must be handed into the authorized person who handed you the key on arrival. Security deposit will be returned once the apartment is inspected for any damage or missing items and also if dishes have not be cleaned and rubbish disposed off security deposit will be charged. FIRE ALARM The building is fitted with a Fire Protection System in accordance with QLD Fire & Rescue Services Requirement. The Fire Alarm in this unit is connected directly to the local fire station via a control panel at reception. The QLD Fire and Rescue Services are required to call out to every alarm that is activated. EACH FALSE ALARM ATTRACTS A FIRE SERVICE CALL OUT FEE OF, $860.00* AS OCCUPIER YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS COST. TO PREVENT FALSE ALARMS WE RECOMMEND THAT WHEN COOKING YOU: • USE THE EXHAUST FAN ABOVE THE HOTPLATES STOVE COOKTOP. (SLIDE IT TOWARDS YOU TO TURN ON). • OPEN THE FRONT DOOR, BATHRROM WINDOW, AND BALCONY SLIDING DOORS TO PROVIDE CROSS VENTILATION. • KEEP HOTPLATES CLEAN OF SPILT FOOD. • NEVER LEAVE COOKING FOOD IN THE STOVE TOP, OVEN, MICROWAVE OR TOASTER UNATTENDED. • CLOSE BEDROOM DOOR TO PREVENT ANY SMOKE ACCESSING THE BEDROOM SMOKE DETECTOR. *(THE TOTAL COST AMOUNT OF THE FIRE SERVICE CALL OUT FEE MAY BE OF SUBJECT TO CHANGE)
4.15 Emergency Contact In the event of an emergency relating to the Property, please telephone property manager
a) Use of Swimming Pool
a)all guest using the pool must be in house guest only and follow all signage in around pool.
b)Children below the age of thirteen are not allowed in or around the pool unless accompanied by an adult c)glass containers or receptacles of any type are not taken to or consumed in or around the pool. d) all guest must exercise caution at all times and should not run or splash or behave in any behaviour that is like to interfere with the use and enjoyment of the pool by other persons f) that not use is made of the swimming pool between the hours of 9.00pm - 7.00am. e) Pool area not to be used for social gathering for the hours of 10.00pm to 7.00am.
4.16 The Owner & Property Manager of the unit have the right to enter the property at anytime, if there seems to be any breaches to these terms & conditions.
4.17 Compliance a) Breach of these House Rules is a breach of the Terms and Conditions of occupancy. b) The Owner and property Manager reserve the right to terminate permission to occupy and to evict from the Property, Guests or Visitors who refuse to follow these House Rules or who cause a nuisance.
