We are very happy to host you at the Lazy Lodge and hope that you enjoy it as much as we do. The Lazy Lodge is a very special and sentimental place for our family, so we would appreciate it if you would treat our home and our belongings with the same respect and consideration that you would give to your own home. We hope that you enjoy your stay, have fun, and make yourselves at home. Many of these rules are common sense and are mentioned as reminders in order to keep our home in proper working order during your stay. The following are a list of rules and expectations for staying at the Lazy Lodge:
***IMPORTANT**** Please follow instructions for proper recycling and garbage disposal.***
We understand that folks coming from other states and areas have different recycling rules, so it is a good idea to familiarize yourself and your party with the recycling and rubbish requirements in our area. We thank you for following these rules(URL HIDDEN) -We ask that you PLEASE recycle ALL cans, glass bottles, plastic containers, cardboard, etc (the list of what can be recycled is posted on recycling can in the kitchen. Please save us the time by familiarizing you and your party with the proper way to dispose of your rubbish and recyclables). Glass, plastic, and cans MUST be rinsed and placed in the RECYCLING bin with the CLEAR garbage bag provided. PLEASE DO NOT throw garbage in with recycling or vice versa. If you do so it is very difficult, messy, and time consuming for us to separate. THE GARBAGE AND RECYCLING MUST BE SEPERATED! Additional bags (white rubbish bags and clear recycling bags) are located in pantry closet.
-Please place RUBBISH (NOT recycling) in the WHITE plastic garbage bags provided. Once the indoor garbage is full and before you check out, please place the full bagged rubbish in the outdoor garbage can with bag TIED and the lid to the can LATCHED shut (under the lean-to on the right side of small white garage). Outdoor rubbish bins that are not latched can attract animals (bears, raccoons, dogs, etc) that can become a problem and cause damage to property so please be sure the garbage can lids outside are latched shut and bags are tied.
-Please place ALL recyclables together in the same CLEAR plastic garbage bags provided before checking out. You can leave bagged and tied recyclables under the lean-to on the right hand side of the white garage. If you would like to keep your cans for their return deposit, please do so. If not, then please put them with the rest of the recycling. Recyclables include, but are not limited to: glass bottles, aluminum cans, cardboard boxes, plastic food container/jars, cardboard milk/juice cartons. Please see the detailed list of what can be recycled attached to the top of recycling can in the kitchen.
-If the bathroom and bedroom garbage need to be emptied, they can be thrown into white RUBBISH bag in the kitchen with the rest of the garbage before taking it out.
***THANK YOU for taking the time to dispose of your rubbish and recycling appropriately during your stay in our home! We really appreciate your cooperation.****
