Nestled in a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood, this apartment with all new furnishings is a gem!

Guests are invited to enjoy the apartment's private deck outfitted with comfy rocking chairs, fire pit, and bistro table for two. Guests are also welcome to enjoy our home's large, wooded back yard - a natural retreat dotted with poplar, holly, cypress and oak trees where birds, butterflies, squirrels, bunnies and chipmunks are happy companions. Finally, we have two new bikes (with helmets) that can be used at no additional cost.

We're a professional couple living quietly in the upper level of our split-level home (no kids, no pets) and offer as much or as little interaction as you like. We're people oriented but respect the independent traveler who prefers to have less exchange.
With your privacy and enjoyment at the top of our mind, we've designed an apartment on the lower level of our split-level home that is fully separated from our living space by a 12ft staircase secured at either end by a locked door. No one uses the staircase (guest or host), so you have complete privacy, complete independence.
As frequent Airbnb guests at properties around the world (for business and pleasure), we've learned what a great experience looks and feels like, and we're ready to make yours great!

The apartment is above ground (i.e., it's not a basement environment) and the private entrance offers the convenience of keyless entry, so you can check-in at your convenience, on your schedule.
The kitchenette comes equipped with a Keurig, French Press, microwave, mid-sized refrigerator, a Tramontina induction cooktop (no stove or oven), cookware, utensils and cutlery. You should have no problem preparing a light meal, if you prefer to eat in. Upon arrival, we'll have light fare to greet you (e.g., water, juice, coffee, tea, fruit, snacks.)
The living room has a smart TV that streams entertainment via Roku. You can access Netflix, HBOGo, and Hulu Plus, in addition to local networks and channels.
The bedroom has 1 queen-size bed. This is the only place to sleep in the apt, so two people are the maximum number of guests that the property can comfortably accommodate. Of note, the mattress is plush, not firm. If you need something more firm than plush, we're happy to put some plywood under the mattress to accommodate. We also offer a pillow menu (plush, medium, and firm).
All linens are provided for the kitchenette, bathroom, and bedroom, as are supplies (e.g., laundry detergent and dish washing liquid) and toiletries (e.g., shampoo and soap).
Finally, we invest in eco-friendly household products and do our best to maintain a spotless environment, free of pollutants and unpleasant substances.

- No smoking means no smoking anywhere on the property - inside or out. If you're a smoker, please don't read this and think there might be an exception. There won't be. Sorry! We have a zero tolerance policy to stay qualified to be a "business-ready" AirBnb property. Violation immediately cancels your reservation.
- No guests after 12pm who aren't reserved when booking
- No parking in the driveway (only on-street, which is safe and plentiful!)
- Shoes off in the apartment
- Be a good neighbor and keep noise to a minimum (inside and out), particularly after 10pm
- If you ruin the linens, alert us before you check out and promptly pay for their replacement (i.e., $8 for each towel and $30 for sheets)
- If you have a problem and we're not home, please contact us immediately. We'll have a solution! :)
