I absolutely adored my stay here!! I have had many positive experiences with AirBnB, but this was by far the best.
The location is great--just a 10-15 minute drive from the airport, but also centrally located in the ASA Sul, where it is easy to get around by uber, bus, or metro (just a 5-minute walk away). There are restaurants and stores nearby, and bike path that runs in front of the house that is good for running. The house is simple, but nice, with a private room with a bed that as suggested by the description is ideal for studying or working.
But what made the homestay delightful was the experience of staying with the family: Alexandre and his wife, Cleise, and teenage kids, Leticia and Carlos Eduardo. This is a family that does AirBnB primarily for the experience of interacting with visitors, rather than out of economic necessity. Leticia and Carlos Eduardo speak great English. Alexandre took me out to a Festa Junina party and drove to places I needed to go. They were so warm and embracing, and super eager to engage with visitors (though they were also great about leaving me in peace, when I was working in my room). Only breakfast was officially included, but Cliese made other delicious snacks throughout, and invited me to use the kitchen as much as I like. I truly felt adopted by a family. They made my first visit to Brasilia a great one, and I would go back not only to see more of the city, but to visit them.
