Smugglers Retreat is tucked away on a quiet lane in the centre of Wells-next-the-Sea, within easy walking distance of all the local amenities and the quay. It is a charming three-storey cottage able to accommodate up to six adults and two children in four bedrooms. The cottage retains many original features including exposed beams and narrow staircases and benefits from an enclosed courtyard area to the rear and off road parking for one car. One pet is welcome, and two small dogs are possible by arrangement.

A lovely room to the rear of the cottage, with windows out over the courtyard garden. Features include exposed brickwork and original ornamental bread oven. The modern kitchen has plenty of storage, and a fantastic range cooker with six ring gas hob and double oven. There is also a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washer/drier.
The dining area comprises a large table and eight chairs.
A very large and comfortable room to the front of the property with exposed beams in the ceiling. There is a three seater sofa, three armchairs and a two seater sofa, coffee tables and wood burner (decorative only). TV with freeview, DVD player and CD player.

Sweet room with a 2ft 6in single bed and a pull out bed beneath, bedside table with lamp, chair and bookshelf. These beds are narrower than a standard single bed and only suitable for children under the age of 10 years.

Situated on a quiet lane, off the main road, there is no passing traffic. To the rear of the cottage there is a completely enclosed, small courtyard garden with a bistro table and two chairs, charcoal BBQ, an outside tap and a shed (possible to store one bike if required).
There is a parking space for one car; further vehicles can be parked in the main public car park and weekly tickets can be purchased from the tourist information office on Staithe Street at £27.50 in 2016. These tickets enable free parking in other coastal towns too - like Cromer and Holt (see the North Norfolk District Council website for more information).
Wells-next-the-sea is a charming, traditional seaside town with sandy beaches protected by a pinewood forest. A visit to Wells wouldn't be complete without trying your luck at a spot of crabbing on the quayside, or simply relaxing and watching the world go by whilst sampling the best in local fish and chip cuisine. Bicycle hire is available on the quayside. Great local pubs include The Crown Inn, The Globe and The Victoria at Holkham.
